Historia
Every object has a ghost. There is a small yellow backpack - half unzipped, mouth yawning to the pavement, contents strewn around it (a banana, an exercise book, a pair of scissors) - abandoned on a suburban footpath. Ten feet away, the rubber stamp of tyres, resisting clamped brakes, mount the curb and cut across the path. The tracks come to an end at a crippled stop sign. The street, a tree-lined suburban road dappled in late-afternoon sunlight, is calm. But anyone walking past can feel the ghosts: the prickle on the back of their necks that tells them something happened here.

Pulled me in from the start
Revisado: 08-29-21
I originally downloaded this because I thought this was about ghosts from the description. But its not. I won't go into detail because this is a short listen. It was awesome. I didn't figure out what was going on until it was happening. Totally twisted ending. What a shock!

Love story within a WWII story
Revisado: 08-12-21
Originally I was going to give 3 stars as I thought there was to much of a love story between characters to combine with a WWII story line. But editors notes at end of book gave additional information on real people the fictional characters were based on which was very interesting and then gave the book more depth.

Psycho Cult Leader
Revisado: 08-05-21
Must I say more. The beginning of this book was interesting enough but it could have been so much more.
I did not feel for any of the characters as I feel in the real world people would have acted differently.
I really wanted to finish the book as I wanted to know the ending. Big let down. I bought this book from Amazon with the Audible add on. It might have been a book special of the day or an Amazon special. I don't remember, but this will not stay in my library. It will be deleted.
I really must read reviews than just relying on book summery.

I'm a sucker for time travel
Revisado: 08-02-21
First book I listened to by this author and loved it. it's a little different from other time travel books I have read and listened to. The going back and forth in time was different but I really enjoyed the story. Nice ending.

Not what I expected
Revisado: 07-31-21
The good reviews interested me into listening to this book. Totally out of the box for me.
A dark fairy tail that really grabbed me from the start. With an ending that felt complete and not left hanging. Which I thought that was the direction the book was going. But it didn't. Very enjoyable listen.

This is a YA book
Revisado: 07-17-21
I really should dig deeper in reviews on the books. The summery of this book sounded very interesting and I was looking forward to an interning story. The kind that the family secret is a century old. This story mystery is only 18 years old. Main character is 18 years old. Story was interesting enough to finish but not listed as a YA book. Good writing, good narration.
