The best book I've read (ok, listened to) in so long!

I'm an avid listener to audio books. I learned years ago that while I love to read, I can easily get caught up in a story and before I know it, I've neglected my chores and my sleep. So I turned to audio books because I listen while I get my chores done and my sleep has improved tenfold. However, just because I've listened to thousands of hours of audiobooks, and read hundreds of physical books, doesn't mean that I've enjoyed all of them. So few have ever grasped my attention so strongly and had me riveted on every detail. I laughed. I cried. I got angry. I will now contemplate this story for years to come and recommend it to anyone I can.

By the way, if you've seen the movie before the book, it's worth it! There are details, events, and thoughts that are not in the movie, so treat yourself!

I miss Shane and Kiera's performances.

I absolutely love this story as much as the rest in the series. However, I really miss the performances of Shane and Kiera. The combination of both voices in every chapter made the story come alive. The story is more real when only one voice performs female characters and another performs male character's. What I mean is....., there's something seriously lost in a female pretending Levi's comments in Astrid's point of view and a male pretending Astrid's voice in Levi's point of view. Many of us listeners put ourselves in the shoes of characters. No offense to the ladies, but "I like you bound, princess" doesn't do a thing for me from a female voice, but gives deep tingles from a male voice.

I'm addicted this series! Twists, turns, realistic events in their lives make it easy to picture and follow along in my mind. Draped in Plaid is my next conquest. 😉

Delicious story while knitting for me. I also love how the narrator attempted different voices to make the story come more to life but it would have been better if a Male had attempted the Male parts. No offense, but a female mimicking a Male doesn't entice me as some of those phrases would have coming from an actual Male. ;)
