This has to have been written by a man. Problematic and unbelievable story. Couldn’t finish it. It’s not sexy for a man to not take no for an answer.
Female narrator is great, male narrator didn’t have the right style for the character.

I firmly believe that I will enjoy everything that Denise Grover Swank has a hand in. This is a captivating story and it’s clear that the plot for this series was formed thoughtfully, without any holes. I love the descriptive language - I can picture everywhere that these scenes take place and that is one of my favorite things about good writing.
There is one thing that I felt cheapened the story though, which is why I’m not leaving five stars. It seemed like the authors felt obligated to fit some sex into this story and it really didn’t fit believably. I think attraction would’ve been much more compelling and would have pulled me deeper into the story.
