Historia
Beyond Control reveals the Mississippi as a waterway of change, unnaturally confined by ever-larger levees and control structures. During the great flood of 1973, the current scoured a hole beneath the main structure near Baton Rouge and enlarged a preexisting football-field-size crater. That night the Mississippi River nearly changed its course for a shorter and steeper path to the sea. Such a map-changing reconfiguration of the country's largest river would bear national significance as well as disastrous consequences.

In 1991, Joseph was an M1 tanker in the First Infantry Division, US Army. It’s America’s most lethal division, and tanks lead the way. The life expectancy for a tanker was about 15 minutes in battle. His mission was to lead the attack on the enemy minefield while being attacked by chemical and biological weapons. It was a suicide mission, and he was awarded the Valorous Unit Award for extraordinary heroism in war. Tankers don’t surrender!

Good read. Excellent narrator
Revisado: 09-15-19
Some parts were difficult to hear but I’m better for having chosen this book. The sincerity of the narrator is the key to understanding the wrap up in the last chapter. He brings you in to understanding the author’s understanding of the Power of God that saved him with a new life.

Historia
Anthony Spencer is egotistical, proud of being a self-made business success at the peak of his game, even though the cost of winning was painfully high. A cerebral hemorrhage leaves Tony comatose in a hospital ICU. He 'awakens' to find himself in a surreal world, a 'living' landscape that mirrors dimensions of his earthly life, from the beautiful to the corrupt.

The Shack was Life Changing - not this one
Revisado: 07-17-16
The story was disjointed and unbelievable interactions between the characters. Did not enjoy it.
Perhaps should have stopped with the shack.
