Historia
War has finally come. But it's not a war between good and evil or light and dark - it's a war between Sanctuaries. For too long, the Irish Sanctuary has teetered on the brink of world-ending disaster, and the other Sanctuaries around the world have had enough. Allies turn to enemies, friends turn to foes, and Skulduggery and Valkyrie must team up with the rest of the Dead Men if they're going to have any chance at all of maintaining the balance of power and getting to the root of a vast conspiracy that has been years in the making.

Revisado: 07-15-21
Great storytelling! It was a lot of fun to see the character development. This one is full of witty banter like its predecessors. But I miss the original narrator, Rupert Degas.

Historia
Jacob Finch Bonner was once a promising young novelist with a respectably published first book. Today, he’s teaching in a third-rate MFA program and struggling to maintain what’s left of his self-respect; he hasn’t written—let alone published—anything decent in years. When Evan Parker, his most arrogant student, announces he doesn’t need Jake’s help because the plot of his book in progress is a sure thing, Jake is prepared to dismiss the boast as typical amateur narcissism. But then...he hears the plot.

Historia
In The Righteous Mind, social psychologist Jonathan Haidt explores the origins of our divisions and points the way forward to mutual understanding. His starting point is moral intuition - the nearly instantaneous perceptions we all have about other people and the things they do. These intuitions feel like self-evident truths, making us righteously certain that those who see things differently are wrong. Haidt shows us how these intuitions differ across cultures, including the cultures of the political left and right.

Heavy on psychology, but I came for that...
Revisado: 10-20-20
This dude is sharp! I found the theories and evidence for them to be compelling! I can't say that this will appeal to huge audiences but for its target audience, it is very well crafted. My impression is that Haidt was very thorough and nothing in here was flippant by any means. I enjoyed the book and I bet other W.E.I.R.D (reference from the book) will too!

Narration is superb!
Revisado: 05-14-19
I liked it a lot. I enjoyed the narrator a ton! The story was quite clever but at some points it missed the mark. The NASA plotline through the Yale educated cannibal story was not real strong. And for anyone that is only in this because of the movie you may want to think long and hard before listening to this.

Historia
Every day, we make decisions on topics ranging from personal investments to schools for our children to the meals we eat to the causes we champion. Unfortunately, we often choose poorly. The reason, the authors explain, is that, being human, we are all susceptible to various biases that can lead us to blunder. Our mistakes make us poorer and less healthy; we often make bad decisions involving education, personal finance, health care, mortgages and credit cards, the family, and even the planet itself.
