Definitely Penny Marshall

This book takes a little getting used to. Penny was a great personality, director and actress. She is not a novelist. If you are used to long flowing sentences with eloquent and precisely used descriptions, this book is not that. It is however what the title promises, a memoir by Penny herself. There is no question that these are Penny's thoughts and words. Having her also read it was priceless. Penny is still as awesome as I have always thought. I love her more, after the book, than before. May she rest in peace.

Not the usual Performance

This is done more in a radio theater format than the usual reading the Audible does. While that is a nice change, it was unexpected and took a little getting used to. It also was a little harder to understand what was going on during the battle scenes. The voices are not the same as the voices RC reads them. the hardest voice change to get used to for me was the different Smythe voice. It was nice to hear feminine voices for the women though. Overall it was another great story and a good performance by all.

A Let Down After a GREAT Series

This book was not as good as all of the other books in this series. It was too formulaic and Skippy was winier and far less helpful than usual. On top of this losing such great characters as Gunnie Adams, Emily Perkins, Dave Chika and other characters the author has flushed out so well and I have come to love made this trip feel more hollow than the others. It would have been nice (and unrealistic) if most of the original band of pirates could have made it back to the ship. Hopefully this is not the last we have heard of Margerett, Joe, Jeremy, Emily, Dave, Jessie, and the rest of the pirates and team on Paradise. Thank you for all the other great books and adventures. With some minor tweaks keep them coming.

Amateur Space Bond

Jazz stars out as a thing for hire, but takes a very James Bond approach, that goes terribly wrong. Then her Bond-like fix goes wrong. It is almost funny...if you were not rooting for her success so much. I love her. She is well written and all the supporting characters are too. Great adventure story of an unintentional hero.

A New Angle on Time Travel

I loved the characters in this book so much I hope to get to hear more about them. The crazy detail of cars and wardrobes was great. A little steampunk and history mixed together. A mist listen.

The Last Book
