Historia
During the Lenten season of 1823, a German nun experienced a series of ecstatic visions that transported her to Jerusalem on the eve of the Last Supper. This is her compelling visionary account of the events surrounding Jesus' final days. A primary source for Mel Gibson's epic movie The Passion of the Christ.

Historia
The Golden Arrow tells of both the life of Sister Mary of Saint Peter and her life's work: the devotion, granted to her by Jesus himself, to his Holy Face. Approved by Pope Leo XIII and promoted by St. Therese of Lisieux half a century later, the devotion to the Holy Face may be the single most important devotion of our time that still remains relatively unknown.

The blindness of men
Revisado: 01-11-24
The book and story of Sr Mary's life and efforts to do God's will in her life struck my heart and I can clearly see it in history and in my own life experinces. I wish that this book had come to me eairly in my life. We can all help to spread God's word in our own parish and maybe help in Sr. Mary's efforts to spread the word of God. She was a lowly nun, we need to add ourselves into the effort no matter how low we see ourselves in this life. We can at least try.

Historia
The Story of a Soul is the autobiography of Thérèse of Lisieux. It was first published on September 30, 1898, a year to the day after her death from tuberculosis at the age of 24, on September 30, 1897. The book was a single volume formed from three distinct manuscripts - manuscripts of different length, written at different times, addressed to different people, and differing from one another in character. The work of unifying these disparate manuscripts was carried out by Pauline, the sister of Thérèse.

A beautiful story of a beautiful soul
Revisado: 01-07-19
I have a hard time putting into words how I felt while listening to the story of ”The Little Flower”. At times the story will bring the listener to tears and it is hard to continue. It is very hard to not know that God does exist when presented with the words written by “The Little Flower”. I know that God loves me and it is evident that she loved him with every fiber of her being.

The e-books are so much better than the movies
Revisado: 06-07-18
I watched the movies but never read the books. However several months ago I decided to get the Harry Potter series as e-books from Audible.com and I am so glad I did.
I just received the Deathly Hallows about a month ago. It had been about a year since I started listening to the series so before listening to book 7 I first listened to the first 6 books in turn and then listened to book 7.
Listening to Jim Dale read the books is a delight. You get so much more by listening than you get from the movies although they were good, please don't get me wrong.
I have now listened to the entire series and just finished book 7 for the second time. I love the series on e-book and got so much more out of the e-books than I ever got out of the movies. The amount of background information made all the difference in the world to me.
Jim Dale did a wonderful job and I would love to listen to any other books he may have done.
Thank you J.K. Rowling for the work you put into your writing.

Much more of the entire Fifty Shades story line
Revisado: 11-30-17
Would you listen to Darker again? Why?
Yes, I would and intend to listen again as soon as the third book comes out on Audible.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Christian is my favorite character in this second Fifty Shades trilogy. It puts more of a face on the character that was lacking in the first three books of the series.
Don't get me wrong, I loved the first three books but you don't get Christian's perspective.
Like the first book of the trilogy a lot of details were explained once you see the story line from Christian's perspective.
Which character – as performed by Zachary Webber – was your favorite?
Again it was Christian's character and Zachary Webber did an excellent job.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I would have loved to do so but with the length, that was not possible.
Any additional comments?
E L James has done a remarkable job on the story line for the entire Fifty Shades series.
I have listened to the first trilogy (3 books) at least 4 times since receiving them from Audible.
I have listened to the first book of the second trilogy 3 times and have now gotten through the second book for the first time after downloading it from Audible on the day it was released.
I look forward to the release of the audio version of the third book in the second trilogy.
Please E L James, don't keep your fans waiting too long.

Historia
Once upon a time, I was a mute captive who wished for death. Now, I'm stowed away on a yacht. Saved and taken, the thief who stole me demands my voice, my past, my everything. I won't give in. But Elder refuses to take no for an answer. He pushes and cajoles, slowly discovering who I am. Until I find out he plays the cello to escape his demons, all while his music conjures mine. He's rich, I'm bankrupt. I'm mute by choice, he's curious by nature. So many reasons why we can never work.

WOW.... Can't wait to get the 3rd book
Revisado: 08-03-17
Would you consider the audio edition of Dollars to be better than the print version?
I have not read the print version but I cannot imagine it being better than the performance I just finished listening to.
What other book might you compare Dollars to and why?
The Buttons series. A similar story line but that is where the similarity ends. Both book series deal with the same basic premise in that a woman is sold into slavery and then the hero being a very bad person in his own mind, rescues the woman and they fall in love.
Which character – as performed by Kylie C. Stewart and Eric Rolon – was your favorite?
Both characters were both very well developed and I found myself cheering for both but at times wanting to head slap them both.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
She lived through hell but will she survive her salvation?
Any additional comments?
This was a very intense book and I loved how Kylie and Eric brought the intensity to life for the listener. Thanks to the both of them.

I'm working off my buttons. But I'm also giving them away. The more I fall for Crow, the more I want him to do the things that I want. Dinners, dates, and evenings at the beach. Everything comes at a price, and quickly the hoard of buttons I worked hard to earn are depleted. Will this go back and forth forever? Or will someone run out of their buttons first?

2nd book is better than the 1st
Revisado: 08-02-17
If you could sum up Buttons and Hate in three words, what would they be?
Development of the characters and story line. Yes, I know that is more than 3 words.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Buttons and Hate?
The way that Crow and Pearl tried to remain apart from each other but the attraction was just too much for either.
Have you listened to any of Samantha Cook and Michael Ferraiuolo ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
The performances of both were consistent across all three books of the series.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
The dark obsessions of the hero for the slave girl.

Had a hard time with this book
Revisado: 08-02-17
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
It was time well spent but the beginning of the book was hard to listen to because of the subject matter.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
The least interesting was the first half of the story again because of the subject matter. It became more interesting as you continued see the story evolve into something with promise as Button is rescued from the villain but is still in danger from her rescuer.
What aspect of Michael Ferraiuolo and Samantha Cook ’s performance would you have changed?
I believe their performances were good and cannot think of anything I would change.
Did Buttons and Lace inspire you to do anything?
Yes, to read the next book in the series.

When I saw my escape, I took it. Now I'm in New York City and trying to get my life back on track. Despite the tracker in my ankle, Crow hasn't come for me. He hasn't even called me. I told him the depth of my feelings but he cruelly rejected them. Maybe he's forgotten about me. One day, I walk into my apartment and spot the pile of buttons on the counter. I never left them there, and there's only one explanation for their presence. Maybe Crow hasn't forgotten me after all.

Yes, as this was the best of the three books in the series.

I have listened to all three books in this series and the performances have been consistent. The performances have been good and I would consider listening to more of their books.

No, too long for that
