Historia
Evan Smoak is a highly trained former government assassin who has survived for years by keeping his circle to a few trusted confidants and a strict code he calls “The Ten Commandments.” But when Evan suddenly finds himself at odds with his oldest friend, all the rules he lives by shatter—and the consequences are murderous. Tommy Stojack might be Evan's best friend in the world. He’s a gifted gunsmith who has created much of Evan's own weapons and combat gear. But now, he has apparently crossed one of Evan's hardest lines and their argument explodes into open warfare.

Perhaps the best X yet.

Excellent work on characters and social commentary. Scott Brik is at his best. I hope the next edition makes it by Christmas.

Historia
Ren Scarborough is no longer the girl who was chased out of England—she is the Goddess of Death ruling Japan’s underworld. But Reapers have recently been spotted in Japan, and it’s only a matter of time before Ivy, now Britain’s Death Goddess, comes to claim her revenge. Ren’s last hope is to appeal to the god of storms and seas, who can turn the tides to send Ivy’s ship away from Japan’s shores. But he’ll only help Ren if she finds a sword lost thousands of years ago—an impossible demand.

Great story. I Hope it hasn’t ended.
Revisado: 12-20-22
Both books in the series tell a very different story from most in the fantasy genre. Great book to experience especially with Rebecca Yeo narrating.

A very interesting take on time travel and holds enough twists to keep you listening. I hope this turns into a series at some point.

Historia
After the untimely death of his mentor, Berkeley physicist Joshua Andrews has dedicated himself to finishing his mentor’s life work: Creating entangled particles that can communicate faster than light. When scientific journalist Rachael Miller comes to interview him at his lab, they make an astounding discovery, one as ancient as the universe itself. During the early moments of the Big Bang, entangled particles were created that spread with the expansion of the universe creating a subatomic communication network - a network that Joshua and Rachael have accidentally tapped into.

Most important book for future thought in last 15 years
Revisado: 06-18-16
It does more to explain not only the future, but the somewhat confusing present and explains evolving humanity unlike anything that I have seen in either scholarly or speculative thought. Like "Age of Spiritual Machines" it should hold a central spot in everyone's required reading.
