Historia
Jennette McCurdy was six years old when she had her first acting audition. Her mother’s dream was for her only daughter to become a star, and Jennette would do anything to make her mother happy. So she went along with what Mom called “calorie restriction." She endured extensive at-home makeovers while Mom chided, “Your eyelashes are invisible, okay? You think Dakota Fanning doesn’t tint hers?” She was even showered by Mom until age sixteen while sharing her diaries, email, and all her income. In I’m Glad My Mom Died, Jennette recounts all this in unflinching detail.

So many emotions I don't know what to do with
Revisado: 11-15-22
I was left speechless... I am so sad for Jennette and everything she had to endure all while not really knowing any better. I am, however, so proud of her for making the effort to overcome those things and do better for herself. It wasn't easy and there's no way anyone could pretend that it was. It makes me think of my own mother, whom I am no longer in contact with, and I have so many emotions jumble around inside- relief that I don't have to walk on eggshells anymore but sadness that I will never have a great relationship with her. This book was fantastic and is definitely worth listening to/reading. It's A LOT to unpack, but worth it. 5 stars

A very thorough guide

My spouse and I hosted an Airbnb before the pandemic. Nothing super fancy, but cozy and passable for those just needing a bed for a night. If we decide we feel comfortable enough to start hosting again, I've got all sorts of ideas so really step up our hosting game!
