Historia
Unlike the wars in Vietnam and Iraq, the US invasion of Afghanistan in 2001 had near-unanimous public support. At first, the goals were straightforward and clear: Defeat al-Qaeda and prevent a repeat of 9/11. Yet soon after the United States and its allies removed the Taliban from power, the mission veered off-course and US officials lost sight of their original objectives.

A great expose on bad decisions
Revisado: 10-29-21
When will this country learn……to do the right thing and not waste money and resources. This book exposed just how stupid some people in government are and the hubris of others. Nation build is not something the United States is good at when they don’t understand the nation they are trying to help. So much tragedy has ruined countless people's lives in both the United States and Afghanistan. A war that go us nothing, that ruined and destroyed so much.

A really good book with information laid out nicely
Revisado: 09-02-20
This book tells the story of the Fox News manipulation to this country in great detail. The author has done his research and provides facts that show the events as they happened. I enjoyed this book because it cuts to the root of why this happened. Money is the root of the rot of democracy. Trump supporters will not like this book as they won’t believe any of it

Historia
Dr. Richard Carrier, world-renowned philosopher and historian, explains the four reasons he does not accept the Christian religion, describing four facts of the world that, had they been different, he would believe. Those four reasons are God's silence, God's inaction, the lack of evidence, and the way the universe looks exactly like a godless universe would, and not at all like a Christian universe would, even down to its very structure. Dr. Carrier addresses all the usual replies to these claims.

Historia
Written with bracing wit and intelligence, Rachel Maddow's Drift argues that we've drifted away from America's original ideals and become a nation weirdly at peace with perpetual war, with all the financial and human costs that entails. To understand how we've arrived at such a dangerous place, Maddow takes us from the Vietnam War to today's war in Afghanistan.
