This isn’t the romance novel I know Melody can write. I downloaded this without reading any reviews because I have read all of Melody’s books. I have to say I stopped half way through and went back to read the reviews to see if I was crazy or hearing the same things. Her early Anderson series is very passionate, a little misogynistic, but really good romance and true love winning. Some people say it is low key political and has political undertones, no, the book is just one big political statement. Of course please write what you feel in your heart, but it is so of your usual mark as an author. I spent money on this download and had planned on getting the next one in this series because I have read/listened to all of your books, but I’m not going to spend my ones yet. I’m going to wait for more reviews. I am a mom who works part time retail, I use that money to supplement our house income so we have a little extra to use for fun things like audio books, and I wish I hadn’t wasted my money on this book.

If I was trying a new author or series I might not be so upset, but I picked this book because of your past writing and it was just bad. I don’t want to even break down the actual story line and the falsities of Hudson’s narrative. Let me be Daisy on these “dates” and talk true opposing points of view. Also Daisy’s whole thing about having kids and discipline!? Such horrible “parent” shaming from a no parent.
