Couldn't get past chapter 1

The opening scene is about rape, shortly after that there is cheating.. There is no emotional build up or tension. Maybe it comes later, but I won't keep listening to find out. I am going back to more traditional romance novels.

The first few lines had me laughing out loud. The voice over artist has a beautiful voice. I admire the transformations that Debbie Dare/Sandra Peale Pinkney went through.

Slow interesting burn

The story concept is really cool. You are in the mind of a man between two types of brain function. The relationship between the two main characters is unique. The ending regarding the family inheritance is interesting.

I can't wait to start Book 2!

The narration is unbelievable! To have a man and a woman narrate both the men and women in this book in 4 accents and 6 plus voices is phenomenal. The relationships between all of the characters are different than anything I have ever seen.

Another great one by Walter Mosley

I especially like the relationship between the detective and his daughter in all of Mr. Moseley's books. They bring a sense of normalcy to everything, and remind me of me and my dearly departed Dad.

Good Concepts

Brian provided great guidance on common missteps, and easy to remember and important "Do's". This is a great boost for post-Pandemic dating, as the Pandemic made the dating scene more desperate than usual. It's a great adjunct to the Inner Child and shadow work that I am doing with my therapist.

Intimate

Andre's voice was sexy. It was nice to have a couple that represented modern day demographics. The relatively depressing nature of the Carpathian style was balanced out with humor. The sex scenes were intimate and passionate.

A "must read" for therapists and couples

This book helped me to structure my therapy sessions and homework for couples. It made me reflect on my own failed marriage and helped me to develop relationship goals for my future relationship.

A good outline of the longer meditation and spell.

I liked it, but to really use it, I'll either have to record my own slowed down version of the meditation, or buy Lanie's, or check out her YouTube video. This book was relaxing to listen to, and I felt like I absorbed the information better than when I read the book.

Straight to the point.

I finished in less than an hour. The mantras are clear and understandable. Beginners should probably listen to mantras on YouTube if they don't feel comfortable with the process. Baal's explanation of the connection between using Mantras and possessing the power of the mantra is more powerful than all of my other readings of the subject (others say that you will attain the goal, but not actually possess the power of the goal) . I like that Baal gives us the exact number of mantras per day times the number of days to chant, to attain the goal/power. The narrator's voice is perfect for this subject matter.
