Historia
The old Victorian pier was a thing of beauty until it was allowed to decay. It was where the youth of Oldcliffe-on-Sea would go to hang out. It's also where 21-year-old Sophie Collier disappeared 18 years ago. Francesca Howe, known as Frankie, was Sophie's best friend, and even now she is haunted by the mystery of what happened to her. When Frankie gets a call from Sophie's brother, Daniel, informing her that human remains have been found washed up nearby, she immediately wonders if it could be Sophie.

Overall a decent listen
Revisado: 11-05-24
I read this book because someone in a review video said this was one of the best books they've read this year. I came into reading this with high expectations, and while those weren't necessarily met, I did still think this was a decent book and worth the listen. The narrator for Sophie's voice made me a little sleepy at times. Overall the story line is pretty good, and the twist was not necessarily anticipated. Slow paced at first and definitely takes time to build, as other reviews stated.

Justin has a curse, and thanks to a Reddit thread, it's now all over the internet. Every woman he dates goes on to find their soul mate the second they break up. When a woman slides into his DMs with the same problem, they come up with a plan: They'll date each other and break up. Their curses will cancel each other’s out, and they’ll both go on to find the love of their lives. It’s a bonkers idea… and it just might work.

Abby Jimenez did it again!
Revisado: 04-09-24
I love Abby Jimenez's books. They're the perfect mix of laughs, cute romance, and real life hardships we've all encountered in some way, with just a touch of spice. I want her to write my happy ever after. This one wasn't any different, and was arguably my favorite yet! I love all of the intertwined characters. You feel like they're your friends and you're going through these events with them. Forever a fan, and can't wait to see what she comes up with next!

Not for the faint of heart - seriously.
Revisado: 10-30-23
I typically can handle some pretty messed up stuff in books... this one had me turning it off a few times to regain my composure. The story is okay. It is decently written in the literary sense and had me on the edge of my seat for a lot of it. But the graphic imagery is something I could've definitely done without. I fast forwarded through some small parts of it. Narration was good and she did a great job of portraying the emotion of the characters. Just, be warned and prepare yourself mentally if you decide to read this. I read the reviews and didn't listen to them... kind of wish I would have.

Jessica and Megs always make me laugh with them, and I really enjoy all of the tips and tricks they have to give to a new crocheter like myself. I definitely recommend that you grab some yarn and listen for awhile. They're the best.

Eh - Not horrible, but not added to my favorites
Revisado: 04-11-23
This one was middle of the road for me. I feel like the author could've made this into two books, added more details to the interesting pieces of the plot and it would've improved my rating to probably 4 stars. I didn't really understand the brief ending, or why it was necessary. I personally would've liked to have seen more detail there. Overall average in my opinion.

Historia
One year ago, Isabelle Drake's life changed forever: her toddler son, Mason, was taken out of his crib in the middle of the night while she and her husband were asleep in the next room. With little evidence and few leads for the police to chase, the case quickly went cold. However, Isabelle cannot rest until Mason is returned to her—literally. Except for the occasional catnap or small blackout where she loses track of time, she hasn’t slept in a year. Isabelle's entire existence now revolves around finding him, but she knows she can’t go on this way forever.

Exceeds Expectations!
Revisado: 01-18-23
I've listened to a lot of these "types" of books but I can definitely say this is at the top of my list. The twisty, turny, keeps you guessing type of book, and I loved every second! I finished it in less than 24 hours and immediately recommended to a friend who likes these kinds of books too!

Not Really What I Expected
Revisado: 09-07-21
Typically books are better than the movie, and to be honest that's what I was expecting with this one too. The book lacked a lot compared to the movie, (I have seen all of them). If you're looking for the quirky romance, with super strong quirky best friendship, you may be slightly disappointed. Overall, not a bad book, just lacked a few of the key elements I was really hoping to learn more about. If you like cheesy teen romance, and haven't seen the movies, this will still probably put a smile on your face.

Not what I was hoping for
Revisado: 02-28-20
The first book was full of cute romantic stories, decent character development, and characters I actually liked. I was expecting the same in the second. But... If you're like me, and like logic, this book isn't for you. Who knees someone in the no no square when they propose? What is that? I could go on, but I've already wasted enough time on this book.
