Historia
After a Luke Skywalker/Darth Vader moment, I discovered I do indeed have a father. He comes with a hell of a lot of baggage, but I’ve decided to keep him. Not only do I have a father, I have a kick-ass new sister, a ghostly family, and super powers to boot. If you add to the mix that I’m dating the Grim Reaper, it’s a freakin’ party. The only thing standing in the way of my happiness is the Angel of Mercy, though Angel of Misery is more appropriate. She’s responsible for almost everyone I have loved, and who has loved me, being taken away.

Never laughed so hard
Revisado: 12-30-22
This book has sucked me in. The characters develop so fluidly that it’s easy to fall in love with the characters! However I will state that sometimes the write goes off on tangents that will leave your head spinning wondering what just happened

Too much bouncing between characters
Revisado: 07-28-21
I really wanted to love this book. The story plot it’s self isn’t bad it just bounces around soo much it’s hard to get any flow into the book. It bounces from one character to the next in each chapter so much so that it’s hard to even know which characters head you are in between the females. While it’s great to have different points of view in the same story especially when we know the characters from prior book, it’s also good to keep with a general thought process or atleast naming each chapter by the character.

Forgot how good this was
Revisado: 09-12-20
So, long story short. This was the first trilogy that I had read by Abbi Glines. Needless to say I was hooked on her work after this and had devoured all her books. This paranormal romance is gripping and swoon worthy! Dank is a deity in love with a human. That human tests his will power over and over again till they find a way to be able to love each for eternity.
This story is full of quirky fun characters. Although the narrator did a crappy job with “G” and Miranda’s voice ( making them so whinny and high pitched some times that it made my ears hurt) the story was good enough to keep listening.

Intriguing to say the least
Revisado: 09-09-20
This title was offered as part of the new audible plus selection. I must say I found my self intrigued and unable to put the story down once I had arrived at chapter 5. The star crossed lovers theme mixed with magic and mayhem was a great plot to get lost in. Although the heroine was trying at times with what seemed so obvious, it was none the less and less intense of a read. I did thoroughly enjoy this book and will continue on through the series

Historia
When Edward Cullen and Bella Swan met in Twilight, an iconic love story was born. But until now, fans have heard only Bella's side of the story. At last, listeners can experience Edward's version in the long-awaited companion novel, Midnight Sun. This unforgettable tale as told through Edward's eyes takes on a new and decidedly dark twist. Meeting Bella is both the most unnerving and intriguing event he has experienced in all his years as a vampire.

It leaves much to be desired
Revisado: 08-22-20
Let me begin by saying that I was in love with the twilight books and still find myself once in a while dusting one of the books of the shelf to once again revisit the world of forks. A world of sparkling vampires, predestined love, and uncanny alliances. With that being said I felt as if midnight Sun followed twilight too closely. This was Stephanie’s chance to show case Edward to show us what a day in his life was like but instead in was basically a monologue of himself and bella just with subtle hints of his inner dialogue. This book could have been amazing, but felt to me as if I was the reading twilight all over again but from a different perspective rather than delving into the development of Edward as the main character. None the less it was nice to jump back in time to 15 years ago and get lost in the same love story that kept me up many nights reading . Rumor has it there are more books to come. Perhaps I will enjoy a new story rather than an old one.
I have read previous reviews about the narrator not being right for the part but I beg to differ on this. He sounds a bit older and I love that factor. Edward is over 100 years old his mental voice should be of one of a man of age. This I believe was a great choice. I would love to give this listen a 5 star review but to do so would be sorely letting the listeners/ readers down because as great as it is to visit our familiar favorite vampire/human/werewolf characters, it was a severe let down in the character development.

Not what I expect but a pretty good listen
Revisado: 08-22-20
I began this story 3 months ago and wasn’t really into the first 3 chapters so I put it on the back burner till this week. Once I completed the first 3 chapters I found that I was sucked in to see what would happen next. I did enjoy the listen but felt that the ending left much to desire. They flee but there is no real wrap up which leaves this book feeling unfulfilled and unsatisfying. There was a lot that could have been written to wrap it all up but instead we are left with a ending that is abrupt.

Historia
Stephen King returns to the characters and territory of one of his most popular novels ever, The Shining, in this instantly riveting novel about the now middle-aged Dan Torrance (the boy protagonist of The Shining) and the very special 12-year-old girl he must save from a tribe of murderous paranormals. This is an epic war between good and evil, a gory, glorious story that will thrill the millions of hyper-devoted fans of The Shining and wildly satisfy anyone new to the territory of this icon in the King canon.

Enjoyed it greatly even with the holes
Revisado: 11-10-19
Doctor sleep was a great practice in character development. We were given the chance to see how Danny turned out after such a traumatic experience at the over look. When Doctor Sleep begins we get to see just how messed up Danny is from the trauma of his childhood. He continued being haunted even after leaving the state. He looses everyone he loves and turns down a really windy path of gluten and alcohol addiction. We get to encounter some cameos from dick and Tony still plays a decently promenade character in the plot. We are met with other new characters which do have some great substance and at the end find out that Danny may not be all alone in the world after all ( even if there are holes in the story that are never really addressed)
There are quite a few scenes in the book where I can’t seem to find where and how as a reader we were supposed to put the pieces together that are exposed in the plot but atleast it is plainly put.
The story is definitely entertaining and kept me enthralled till the end. I would recommend this book.
