Historia
The enemy is invisible and moving fast. The body count is rising. And time is running out. Marcus Ryker has spent his entire career studying killers. One thing he knows for sure: a peace summit is the ultimate stage for an assassination. President Andrew Clarke is determined to announce his historic peace plan from the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. But when senior American officials who support the plan begin violently dying, Clarke orders Ryker and his team of CIA operatives to hunt down those responsible and bring the killing spree to an end.

Absolute Disaster
Revisado: 05-14-20
I have listened to every book in every series Joel Rosenberg has written, but after 47 minutes of this narrator, I think I will have to give up and return the book. I’ve tried every way I know to listen... two different car audio systems, apple EarPods, and Bose portable speaker. Nothing helps make it clear enough. It is simply too much work to sort out and process the words as they are spoken. The 47 minutes has taken my wife and I about an hour and a half to listen to since we have to constantly stop and rewind or stop and discuss what we think we heard. Horrible!

Great story... Horrible narration.
Revisado: 12-28-14
What did you love best about Out of the Shadows?
The way the story unfolded in complex fashion weaving together the past and the present.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Out of the Shadows?
The discovery of the truth about Claire.
What didn’t you like about Stephen Woodfin’s performance?
He read with great hesitation, constantly leaving a sentence or phrase unfinished and hanging... Dropping in the last word like a verbal orphan.

Historia
A highly decorated captain in the U.S. Army, Luis Montalvan never backed down from a challenge during his two tours of duty in Iraq. After returning home, however, the pressures of his physical wounds, traumatic brain injury, and post-traumatic stress disorder began to take their toll. In constant physical pain, he soon found himself unable to climb a simple flight of stairs or face a bus ride to the VA hospital. He drank; he argued; he cut himself off from those he loved. Then Luis met Tuesday, a beautiful and sensitive golden retriever....

What did you like best about this story?
Insight into the relationship between a service dog and his master.
What does Luis Carlos Montalvan bring to the story that you wouldn???t experience if you just read the book?
Authenticity - He's a little slow, but still engaging. It is his story and I think he needs to be the one to tell it.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I did, but didn't necessarily feel the need to. I was on a long trip. Otherwise, I probably would have spread it out over a couple of weeks.
