Great NKJV Bible - navigation is logical

Less than hoped for.

Narrator is always “sing-songy”, has the same cadence and vocal inflection regardless of content. Also it started out easy to navigate, but switched to chapters changing mid track. Hoped for better overall.

Yes, he agrees, the Old Testament can be baffling, boring, and even offensive to the modern listener. But as he personally discovered, the Old Testament is full of rewards for the one who embraces its riches.

Excellent book! The author covers each major section of the Old Testament—the Bible Jesus read—and relates them to Jesus and his day, as well as to the present day. Excellent narrator. I especially enjoyed the last chapter in which the author describes a presentation of Handel’s Messiah in grand terms and relates the scope of its message to the theme of the entire Bible, and its central figure, that of Jesus Christ the Messiah.
