Not a Serious History of the LA Freeway System

This would be better suited for podcast format. The narrator’s tone and snarkiness detract from his researched history of LA’s many freeways. He reiterates the “freeways are racist” idea published by the LA Times in recent years. Did I mention he can’t pronounce “Figueroa” correctly?

Why is the Author Narrating This?

Tokyo Vice is a decent audiobook with a unique protagonist point of view, but this audiobook really needs a professional narrator instead of the book's author. Adelstein's delivery is frequently monotonous and deadpan when he's reading dialogue between characters so much so that it takes away from the story.
