Historia
The next book in the perennially adored No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency series sees Precious Ramotswe calling upon all her maternal instincts when she's faced with a two-ton case. They say it takes a village to raise a child, but can Mma. Ramotswe and the rest of the No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency come together to raise a pipsqueak pachyderm? We may find out in this novel. We may not. Who can say?

The new narrator sounds terrible
Revisado: 04-22-23
I have enjoyed these little sweet books for years. The old narrator had a sweet lilt. This new woman sounds like she’s narrating a fantasy book with ogres, dwarves, and other creatures. I couldn’t even listen after awhile. Come on audible. Do better. No voices is better than something so poorly acted out

Historia
Thirty years ago, Gregory Boyle founded Homeboy Industries, a gang-intervention, rehabilitation, and reentry program in Los Angeles, the gang capital of the world. In Tattoos on the Heart, his debut book, he distills his experience working with gang members into a breathtaking series of parables inspired by faith.

Moving testimony to the human heart
Revisado: 01-08-23
It is easy to dismiss people like gang members as not like us. This book gently but irrevocably makes you see that unless you are willing to see the common humanity in us all you cannot find the humanity in yourself.

Pronunciation of Sanskrit
Revisado: 01-28-22
Literally would have taken this narrator 30 minutes to learn the pronunciation of Sanskrit words. His mispronunciation is distracting and irritating. Come on audible!!
Story is lackluster. Book is too long. Not my favorite

Historia
In 1978, two corpses were discovered in the sea off Guatemala. Hooded, bound with ropes and weighted down with heavy engine parts, Chris Farmer and his girlfriend Peta Frampton were thrown from a yacht on which they had been crewing. This is the gripping account of how Chris's family painstakingly gathered evidence against the boat's Californian skipper, Silas Duane Boston, working alongside the FBI, Interpol, and police in the UK and the USA. Almost four decades later in 2015, there was a major breakthrough in the case when, using Facebook, Chris's sister Penny tracked Boston down.

Interesting story but author’s moralizing tedious
Revisado: 09-29-21
I liked this book except for the author”s constant need to say the obvious an extraordinary amount of times. The murderer in the book is horrendous and requires no moralizing to prove it. Yet she has to go on and on using the same language to describe his immorality literally dozens of times. I had to quit the book early. I couldn’t take it
