The writing is quite nice and the narrator does a good job. Having listened to 10 hours already there is scarcely any progress to the plot and the amount of details is staggering. I would not recommend buyingnthis

Predictable and shallow

Probably a fantasy book aimed a younger reader than myself. The plot is pretty straight forward with overflowing description of hormones…

Nice series though…

Book five was a stretch and now it seems someone is money hungry and decided to go for number six. Which probably won’t be the last since this can extend quite easily at any given moment. But closure is good at time. I hope the author will put an end to this.

Story drags a bit

As for the story, the writing is the same high level but the story drags a bit with repetitive “action”.

The performance is just annoying to listen to. The guy doing Lysender just does not have it. It was quite annoying to get used the new voice in the previous book and the switch to a new actor in this book just takes away the joy.
Lastly, production could at least make sure of consistency between narrators. After getting used to hearing Cacius for four books, this new guy says the name as Cashews which quite annoying to the ear.

If you are a dungeons and dragons fan, the game, I think you’ll like this one. The plot of the trilogy unravels at a good pace and the characters have nice depth to them.
The storyline, while not overly surprising, is well told and written.

A lot of blah blah that sometimes aligns with reality

This whole assemble of words is very high and describes a high level view of something. What's nice for the author is that only in five or more years time these words will stand the trial of reality. I am not a fan of such a strategy.
