Great listen

Worth the time to listen.
Revisado: 09-27-23
Very good story. Trigger warning as it does deal with SA events as well as suicide. The voice acting was excellent, the story had some great twists and turns. One minute you are routing for a character the next you start to hate them and then back around again. The only issue I have is the episodes are short at 30min so it makes the 5 min commercial in the middle a bit annoying. But the story is strong enough to plough through it.

Historia
A corporate mercenary wakes in a reconstructed body, a beautiful woman by his side. Then Hosaka Corporation reactivates him, for a mission more dangerous than the one he's recovering from: to get a defecting chief of R&D-and the biochip he's perfected-out intact. But this proves to be of supreme interest to certain other parties-some of whom aren't remotely human.

Good follow up story. 2nd in the series.
Revisado: 08-28-23
A bit dry and slow in the beginning with a lot of scifi slang/jargon. Once out of the first few chapters it gets its legs under itself and the story flows. The voice actor/narrator did a good job not rushing in high tension moments; which in turn allows you to actually feel the stress of characters.

Historia
How can we make intelligent decisions about our increasingly technology-driven lives if we don’t understand the difference between the myths of pseudoscience and the testable hypotheses of science? Pulitzer Prize-winning author and distinguished astronomer Carl Sagan argues that scientific thinking is critical not only to the pursuit of truth but to the very well-being of our democratic institutions.

I have just finished this book; I am now left with more questions than answers, and I love it. This book is so well written that it makes science poetic. It shows the truth and joy in questioning the world. It provides tools to weed out liars and strengthens your abilities as a skeptic. This book subtly pushes on preconceptions and teaches how to do this too. To challenge others without conflict; to generate more of a discussion without personal attacks. Again this book is a cosmically mind shatteringly awesome book.

Historia
Seth Andrews wasn't an idiot during his 30 years as an evangelical Christian. He wasn't unintelligent, nor did his IQ shift when he ultimately left religion entirely. He considered himself thoughtful, moral, reasonable, and at least as smart as the average person. In other words, he wasn't an idiot. Yet strangely, he often sounded like one.

Loved it!
Revisado: 04-11-23
I have been dealing with my own issues with religion since I left it, this book helped me through it. It taught me to laugh at myself and realize that I was not alone in thinking that I was a fool; and to stop hating myself over it. Seth's voice is beautiful and melodic to the ears; beside delivering the sarcasm perfectly. There is a reason why he is called the voice of atheism. This is absolutely worth the time to listen to or read which ever you prefer.

Awesome Break-down
Revisado: 09-15-22
This is exactly what needs to be done to a lot of these christian mythology books. I had a great experience listening to this and having a cathartic reaction to my past with church. If you need to need to have a good grin at mythology that wants to try and take over than this is a podcast for you.

These guys are awesome, this and pretty much all of Puzzle in a Thunderstorm is great to listen to. Besides the comedy riffs and one-liners; it also peaks the curiosity to see if what they are talking about is bad. Yes, yes it is as bad as they say it is. enjoy the laughs, and even laugh at yourself for having believed some of what was sold to you in the past.
