Historia
Having just celebrated her 26th birthday in 1976 California, Dana, an African-American woman, is suddenly and inexplicably wrenched through time into antebellum Maryland. After saving a drowning White boy there, she finds herself staring into the barrel of a shotgun and is transported back to the present just in time to save her life. During numerous such time-defying episodes with the same young man, she realizes she's been given a challenge.

A powerful story. Should be required reading in all American curriculums. I’m disappointed it took me so long to get to it.

An Outstanding Debut
Revisado: 02-28-25
A refreshing story of friendship that doesn’t bow to the conventional expectations of a chosen one narrative. The author authentically captures the essence of youth, the uncertainty, confidence, and hope all getting mashed into one big stew of emotion. All while giving us a magical world of gods, mysteries and ancient bonds.

A Rising Titan
Revisado: 08-28-24
P.E. Rowe is proving himself to be one of the world’s best writers of science fiction short stories. It’s a darn shame that the medium is not as popular as it once was because Rowe deserves great recognition for the quality of work he puts out. I keenly look forward to his next collection.

Perhaps the best Dragon Rider fantasy I’ve ever read.
Revisado: 01-11-24
I’ve never read Dragonlance or Dragonriders of Pern but as far as modern Dragon Rider books (Eragon included) I’ll take Ascendent over just about everything. The only other book vying for the title is Kingdom of Dragons by Jed Herne. These two are both incredible.

Historia
On a little-known planet, Archmage Varic Vallenar casts a grand spell to empower himself with the magical abilities of his alternate selves. The ritual works too well, granting Varic not only the magic but also the memories from six lives. Including their gruesome deaths. Now, Varic has power greater than any wizard in galactic history, but he knows that won’t be enough. The enemies he faced in those alternate lives were apocalyptic in scale. Terrors of technology and magic. Nothing that he, or anyone, can defeat.

Dr. Don Lincoln crushes it in with is course.
Revisado: 04-10-22
Dr. Don Lincoln makes highly advanced levels of theory and physics accessible to laypeople. It could be slightly math heavy at times but I always felt like I was following the dicussion even if the math was above my level. I think it's a great method for both myself the people who actually can understand the math.
Great lecture. 5/5.

Historia
Consider these commonly held scientific beliefs: Planetary orbits are fixed ellipses; we only use 10 percent of our brains; nothing travels faster than light; a thrown object’s trajectory is a parabola. They seem correct, but they’re all misconceptions that aren’t entirely accurate. There’s much more to the story than you think. These magnificent 24 lectures are devoted to busting myths, clearing up confusion, and giving you scientific epiphanies that could change how you think about your everyday world.
