Thin and Boring
Revisado: 05-04-25
I was up for something other than the usual murder story, but this wasn't it. Pointless and boring. I found my mind wandering. Sorry that I purchased it on the App and therefore cannot return it.

Historia
This week, in Pocomoke City, Maryland, a young mother disappears from the flophouse that she shared with some friends, after an apparent love triangle, or maybe even a love rectangle goes wrong. No evidence, and some vague hints from a pair of psychic sisters, leads to no progress in the case, until one of the killers tries to get out of some trouble, and spills all the horrible details of a murder, that never needed to happen!Along the way, we find out that rap battles & children's pageants go hand in hand, that a disagreement over the amount of milk that a small child drinks shouldn't be ...

Worst Ever
Revisado: 10-17-24
These guys are the worst. They can’t tell a cohesive story even when reading a script. They judge the subjects of their story and stereotype them. They like to hear themselves talk. And hey guys, the reason your milk lasts so long is because of ultra-pasteurizing which kills all bacteria. That’s the point I stopped listening because of all the stupid guy banter. I don’t know what the story quality was because it was taking so long to get there. Disappointed in Audible for offering this junk even for free.

Historia
On a bitter November evening, young Mary Yellan journeys across the rainswept moors to Jamaica Inn in honor of her mother's dying request. When she arrives, the warning of the coachman begins to echo in her memory, for her aunt Patience cowers before hulking Uncle Joss Merlyn. Terrified of the inn's brooding power, Mary gradually finds herself ensnared in the dark schemes being enacted behind its crumbling walls - and tempted to love a man she dares not trust.

Narration is silly
Revisado: 03-21-21
I love Daphne du Maurier for an good escape story, but the narration is distracting and outdated. I don't like to criticize a narrator, but his falsetto for female characters was ridiculous. I could not get into the story because of it.
