A good story but a bit too drawn out
Revisado: 08-01-16
This is an engaging police procedural told from multiple perspectives and peopled with interesting characters. Towards the end though it starts to feel a bit too drawn out.

Historia
Truth and Consequences is a comedy about love and its disguises, and about identity and change, about the small disasters and sudden attractions that can turn even the most stable relationship upside down. Alison Lurie's latest novel suggests that a minor illness can cause major trouble. But it can also, with luck, determination, and the right sort of help, free both caregivers and caregetters to become more interesting, braver, and more passionate than they were before.

A well crafted story
Revisado: 12-30-13
I really enjoyed this story which focused on the spouses of "famous" people, in this case the wife of a professor at "Corinth" college (must be really Cornell) and the husband of a famous novelist. It was a very intimate portrait of the characters enmeshed a story line with just enough momentum to keep you moving.

deeply emotional but too long
Revisado: 08-08-12
Where does A Thread of Grace rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This ranks in the top half of the books I've listened to. I finished it! I enjoyed it, but it was a bit slow.
What was one of the most memorable moments of A Thread of Grace?
When the book finally gets near the conclusion and all the story threads come together it was quite engaging. It just took a bit too long to get there.
What about Cassandra Campbell’s performance did you like?
The characters were well read and distinguishable. As usual, female narrators do the women better than the men, but overall still quite nice.
Any additional comments?
The book covers a forgotten (at least from the US) part of world war II and does a great job of making the period come alive.

Good in small doses
Revisado: 08-20-11
There are some really good essays and some pretty good essays. All of it is worth listening too, but it gets to be a bit boring after the 10th essay or so.

Still good, but not perfect
Revisado: 10-17-05
The second volume of the Eragon Series has some exciting plot developments and a generally good story. Still, the prose can be a little awkward at times.
