As a Aesthetician in training this book has been a welcome addition to my training and knowledge that can better help me service future clients, as well assist me with my own skin care issues that have not been treated properly and overly medicated by a dermatologist that recommended antibiotics consistently without probiotics.

Very real, wise, and funny

A true woman, that is loving, intelligent, naive at times as we all can be but tells hers honestly. This book is funny, a great listen and she also brings racial issues to a forefront. She explains how the need to assimilate actually feels. I appreciate her more for writing this book.

Life changing

My children responded to this within one week of putting it into action. I recommend this for anyone with kids. It was hard to listen to because I felt so convicted at first. I pushed through and this enabled me correct my relationship with my children. I am so grateful for this book.

Amazing, Real, Inspiring, Hilarious, Heart felt

I loved this book from beginning to end. It is a real life story, and I felt all these emotions as she read me her life, the funny, the sad, the hurt, the love, the triumph. This was the best book I have had in a long time. I didn't want it to end.

It's working great

I had the want to quit smoking and just wasn't ever able to. Nicotine replacements worked for a little while but never allowed me to stop. This is day 2 for me. The fact that in 7 years I've never made it to day 2 says alot about this book. I don't even have the withdrawal symptoms I had before when I would try to quit. I'm proud of myself and I believe I can go the rest of my life without being addicted to cigarettes. I will listen to this book over and over again, to remind me why when I need to. If you are addicted to cigarettes get this book . You will view your addiction in a different light and it will allow you to quit.

Eye Opening

I have to write a literature paper, and chose this book. This book has so many components of historical events associated with why Black America is what it is to this day. My eyes were opened to a part of American history that has been grazed over in schools or summarized to a few paragraphs. He tells the events in a point of view that doesn't feel biased, it feels honest and truthful. I feel this book should be apart of every Americans collection.

I felt the frustration, the love, the anger, the sorrow, the joy in the victorious moments this was the best audio book I have had in a long time. The movie didn't do it full justice.

Entertaining

I love the narration for this book, just like the others . Mark Tufo books always make you wonder what happens next. There is more to Tripp in this book, the story line does him more justice, than the others. After finishing I was left with so many unanswered questions. I will be first in line for the third book when it comes out. I finished this one in two days. The purchase is worth it, and I really, really, want to know what happens next!!!
