Historia
If you've got a problem, Charlie Kingsley probably has a tea that’ll help make it right. Except when it comes to love. She does not do love potions. Not even for Courtney, her pregnant new client who showed up three weeks before Christmas seeking a love potion because her husband was cheating on her.

More Aunt Charlie Antics!
Revisado: 04-15-24
It's always nice to get more of Aunt Charlie. I like that this spin off is showing how Aunt Charlie got started while winding a bit of her history through there and hinting to more of it. Great performance as well. I only wish these were longer!

Historia
Charlie Kingsley is not a doctor. She is very clear about this to all her customers who purchase her teas and tinctures. But somehow that doesn't stop her customers from treating her like a doctor. Including calling her in the middle of the night to help with an emergency. What's the emergency? Her customer's daughter, Cyndi, was attacked by a...gargoyle?

Historia
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

Historia
Until the 1970s, if you suffered a medical crisis, your chances of survival were minimal. A 9-1-1 call might bring police or even the local funeral home. But that all changed with Freedom House EMS in Pittsburgh, a group of Black men who became America’s first paramedics and set the gold standard for emergency medicine around the world, only to have their story and their legacy erased—until now.

Amazing and worth every minute!
Revisado: 12-01-22
This book is exceptionally well written! The telling of the story is done brilliantly and shines light upon the stories of the individuals highlighted in the book as well as society as a whole. It is brimming with information about the practice of medicine, about EMS, and about the civil rights movement in America. The narrator does an excellent job and assures this book is captivating as well as informative and entertaining.

Historia
Winter is coming. Such is the stern motto of House Stark, the northernmost of the fiefdoms that owe allegiance to King Robert Baratheon in far-off King's Landing. There Eddard Stark of Winterfell rules in Robert's name. Far to the north, behind the towering Wall, lie savage Wildings and worse - unnatural things relegated to myth during the centuries-long summer, but proving all too real and all too deadly in the turning of the season. Yet a more immediate threat lurks to the south, where Jon Arryn, the Hand of the King, has died under mysterious circumstances....

Expected it to be good, but it is amazing
Revisado: 09-04-21
An intriguing story is made to come alive by exceptional and captivating narration! I'm one of the few totally unfamiliar with game of thrones as I've never seen the TV show. Because of that the story was a bit difficult for me to follow and keep straight at first, but I'm so glad I stuck with it! Roy Dotrice is by far one of the best narrators I've ever listened to! Get it, stick with it, and you will be glad you did!
