Just a story of falling in love
Revisado: 03-10-25
It’s has tons of bells and whistles around it but no miscommunication tropes no one actively being terrible. Super surprised to just have to adult falling in love dispute not wanting to. And you can’t go wrong with that narrators!

Historia
Sometimes, the worst day of your life happens, and you have to figure out how to live after it. So Clementine forms a plan to keep her heart safe: work hard, find someone decent to love, and try to remember to chase the moon. The last one is silly and obviously metaphorical, but her aunt always told her that you needed at least one big dream to keep going. And for the last year, that plan has gone off without a hitch. Mostly. The love part is hard because she doesn’t want to get too close to anyone—she isn’t sure her heart can take it.

This will break your heart and slowly put it back together
Revisado: 06-09-24
Time travel, loss and romance. This book mad me cry from a real sense of the writer understanding the way loss feels when you lose someone you love. And how you can put yourself back together and love again. It’s good honestly really good. Also hot chef love in test what’s not to love?

Hannah Brooks looks more like a kindergarten teacher than somebody who could kill you with a wine bottle opener. Or a ballpoint pen. Or a dinner napkin. But the truth is, she’s an Executive Protection Agent (aka "bodyguard"), and she just got hired to protect superstar actor Jack Stapleton from his middle-aged, corgi-breeding stalker.

Just a little happy story with low drama
Revisado: 08-01-22
Look, it’s predictable and never gets stressful in the drama department but I loved it.
Sometimes you just want to hear a love story about 2 imperfect, but perfect for each other people.
This feels very set it and forget it for doing a long drive, and you might even get some feels along the way.

Sigh* must you always correct each other?
Revisado: 07-06-22
This is two very smart people out smarting the other for 30 minutes talking about Murder She Wrote. Honestly, if they would stop correcting and making sure they have more deep cut references then the other this could be fun. But it’s soooo dry and academic it sucks all the joy from the original cozy mystery. If you want lots of information with no fun, this is it.

Historia
Some 73,000 years ago, the Mount Toba supervolcano in toda's Indonesia erupted, releasing the energy of a million tons of explosives. So much ash and debris was injected into the stratosphere that it partially blocked the sun's radiation and caused global temperatures to drop for a decade. In this book, Donald R. Prothero presents the controversial argument that the Toba catastrophe nearly wiped out the human race, leaving only about a thousand to ten thousand breeding pairs of humans worldwide.

Outstanding presentation!
Revisado: 09-12-21
A precise, organized presentation of what could have been confusing information- brings several areas of expertise together to account for a very probable human genetic bottleneck approximately 70 million years ago, and ends with an uplifting and mind-broadening perspective on disasters and the human species. Narration was great!

Where is the Romance? Spoiler
Revisado: 08-23-21
Oh, it’s SUPER chaste and spoiler:
Don’t expect magic, it’s all down to madness that should be forgiven that’s a real theme. Totally on me not knowing this is a religious Lds book. It’s like romance stripped of passion and fantasy stripped of fun. It’s a fine story I just kept waiting for it to get to the good bits and then happily ever after happened. Meh. Thank goodness the narrator was good!

Slow but pleasant
Revisado: 05-20-21
This book is interesting but stays around 20 miles per hour, it just never really picks up speed. Cool concept and a great narrator but not much action. If you want something long to fall asleep to or have for a commute this is the jam.

Wow the narration is bad!
Revisado: 01-11-20
Could not get past the first chapter! It felt and sounded like a teen was reading her senior paper out to her class, and was so nervous she put on a fake southern accent. So stilted and unnatural it was unbearable. Giving it some stars for story, I’m sure if you can stand to listen there is a decent one there.

Historia
Cassie Franklin trips over nothing on perfectly flat surfaces every day, and she cannot seem to be able to simultaneously speak and look into her audience's eyes. Cassandra Frank is the ultimate tease; her words have aroused, intrigued and captured the heart of thousands...and somehow, they are the same person. Hiding the fact that she writes erotica isn't much of a challenge - no one would ever think that a plain, boring little accountant like Cassie could so much as read anything so scandalous...but one day, she makes a huge mistake.

Cute, not fully finished
Revisado: 02-14-19
This is a fine little romp if you are looking for a short predictable romance. But it ends so abruptly that I had to check it hadn’t skipped. Also, both readers take a moment to get used to. The female narrator is a tad annoying at first and the male sort of sounds like a friend of your dad telling you a story, with the world cock in it.
