Great book!

I loved the continuation from the first book. But I really wanted to review the narrator. She has excellent tone and I like how she distinguishes the voices. My issue is with the editing. Why does she sound like she has a ‘mouth full of spit for about a quarter of the book? I hated for any sentence to have a word that ended with a “P!” Surely someone else heard this? I hate that I have to cringe throughout this good book!

Fantastic book!

This book was fantastic!! The character development was wonderful. I loved the real life situations. I dont listen to a lot of romance, but this author is going to be a favorite. I smiled, cried, and was ready to kick butt. lol I went through a full array of emotions, which is the definition of a fantastic book!
The narrator's where out of this world. They allowed me to effortlessly sink into another world with their talented voices!

Great book, the plot is very entertaining. The characters are Not cookie cutter. I will definitely listen to the next one. The authors voices actually are very good, but the should needs to be cleaned up. It sounds like her mouth is full of saliva through out the performance.

Fantastic Series!

I really, really like this series. The characters seem to grow as the books progresses. The main heroine is by no means one dimensional which means you can really identify with her. I've already purchased the 2nd book.
The Narrator is really good, Her voices are distinctive and I would really be able to sink into the story except for one problem. The one complaint I have with the narrator is that she sounds like she needs to wipe her mouth. Too much silva in her mouth. I didn't hear it as much in the first book, but the second book I wanted to yell at her to spit! I can only assume whoever was in charge of cleaning up the audio didn't do a good job.

Pitiful

This is the sorriest heroine I have every listened to. I sped the audio up to 1.25 just so I could get through the book. I hate not listening to a book I have purchased. I really want to slap this chick silly! This girl has the backbone of an over cooked noodle. Absolutely will Not be listening to book 2. However, the narrator was excellent.

Awful narrator

I loved reading the books. The commentator was good, but the voices for the men were awful. What was interesting, was the fact that it was not all the way through the book, it was intermittent. One of the love scenes was so freakin amusing that it was like listening to a porno comedy! I will read the rest of the series.

Not very good

Okay, please listen to the sample, This is how the entire book sounds. 80% of the book is listening to the narrator read to you as if you are listening to someone read a book to you. I thought surely the entire book can't sound like this. IT DOES! Its not quite 3rd person, but as close to it as you can get. Very little dialog. I listen to YA books all the time and have founds some real gems. This is not one of them. You almost want to think it was written by someone in middle school. For example. You set up a scenario were you make a deal with the FBI that you will give them information and 10 million dollars in cartel money. So the FBI says since you have given them the money as a "freebie" they will give you anything within reason. Who thinks like this? In this day in age, no one thinks like this unless you are under the age of 12 and I would say not even then. I agree with the reviewer who said it reminded them of an elementary level book. Do you remember books in elementary where the main character is the biggest, the best, the smartest, the prettiest, person in all the world? Well that is Missy. Absolutely no character development for anyone else in the book.

The narrator........I am just confused. What is with all of the voices sounding like a twang and sing song?

I am just so confused.

This was definitely not worth my credit.

I really wanted to like this book

There were a couple of things that got on my nerves with this book. First, I don't like weak heroines. The author made this girl seem about 10 years old instead of 16 or 17 years old. Now it could be the narrator's voice for Shelby, it was very irritating as if she equated young with dumb. And oh my goodness the Cussing best friend was way too over the top, which scraped my nerves. I got past all that, and then we got to the battle. The battle was stupid, or maybe what was stupid was all the dialogue and internal angst between every punch! Good Lord!!! Why make your heroine, so stupid! Young does not equal stupid. smh

Interesting....

The book was interesting, but I have to say that Mac was a hypocrite. She wanted everyone to be 100 percent truthful with her, but she lied about Jen for the entire book. And also she was a bi$#h throughout most of the book. So, I guess if I feel this irritated with Mac, the book must be written well enough to illicit these feelings.
