Foretells a future of uploaded consciousness. This book aged better than anything I've read by Heinlein with all the heart of a Spider Robinson novel. Thankfully, it's nothing like the terrible 90's movie, "Freejack".

End of the trilogy

Wonderful conclusion to the series. As with the other recordings, listening to Spider Robinson's voice really brings the characters to life. Only (small) issue with the recording is the overall volume has too wide a range. The loudest parts are clearly being used for effective storytelling, but it makes it had to find a consistent, relative-ambient volume to listen to. It was better in headphones, but listening via bluetooth speaker while working led, to a lot of manually adjusting the volume as Spider's boomed in spots and was a mere whisper in others.

Audio is great on low volume

The narrator has an overly dramatic voice which lends the book to sound like a Guy Noir parody. BUT if you are like me and enjoy listening to books on very low volume this book as great recording quality. Many audiobooks have a popping or hissing effect in the narrators voice at 20% volume. I think it's because of the audio compression, but I don't. I gotta say, this is one of the few books I can leave on when I'm drifting off to sleep and there is zero degradation in the audio quality. The quality of the writing... eh, its classic Heinlein. He's always been a bit misogynist, depicting a future women are still second class citizens and have the emotional depth of a teaspoon.
