Disappointed

I have loved all of the author’s books. I preordered this one and was excited when it finally released. I started it that day.
I’m sad to say it was a big let down. There was barely any character development. It felt like you were dropped in the middle of a story with no explanation of what happened before. The “love story” between Calvin and Grace felt forced and unnatural. The other characters felt like they were there to just fill up space.
I did not see the twist at the end coming but honestly I didn’t see how it would have ended at all. It was just all weird.
The female narrator’s voice was fine but the male’s was beyond annoying. I couldn’t stand it when it was his turn to speak.
I wanted to love it but I can’t say I do.

I felt like I was having a conversation with Prince Harry, talking about his life like old friends. I loved getting to know more details of stories I have heard in the past. Also hearing his side of all the nonsense and garbage the press loves to spew.
