Historia
Fifteen-year-old Joe Beck wasn’t listening as the minister eulogized his uncle but was already planning on what he would have to do as soon as they returned to the Quimby farm. He wasn’t welcome there even before his uncle had died and knew that his cousin John would soon order him to leave. While he had had a basic idea of where he would go after he left the farm, he didn’t know what he would do with the rest of his life.

Not enough action.
Revisado: 07-12-24
Almost the whole book talks about two people consumating there marriage. Not just mentioned but hours of that being the main discussion. Really? Indians, outlaws, raider's and you waist not a few minutes now and then to show the characters love but entire chapters?

This is an easy listen. The characters are fun and the story, even though it could be for younger readers, is a fun listen. The problem is that the narrator is very slow spoken thus I had to increase reading speed to 125 in order to make it sound more normal. This plus the fact that non of the books really end a significant story line makes me feel like I paid too much for these books. Yes it is a series of books but generally speaking you can see a definite end to a significant part of the story. This is not the case with these. I think I will wait for the books to come out as a set and purchase then. I would like to have them all, but not at this price. It ends up being about $1 per hour. Too much.

This book could have been great but the author seems to have a grudge against a religion. Trying to make a connection between the Mormon church and some sort of alien race that wants to breed people for them to use their bodies. it could have been good if he would have kept the religion out of it.

Historia
Half-Korean, half-Japanese, Masaji Ishikawa has spent his whole life feeling like a man without a country. This feeling only deepened when his family moved from Japan to North Korea when Ishikawa was just thirteen years old, and unwittingly became members of the lowest social caste. His father, himself a Korean national, was lured to the new Communist country by promises of abundant work, education for his children, and a higher station in society. But the reality of their new life was far from utopian.

What made the experience of listening to The Wrong Side of Goodbye the most enjoyable?
I have been a fan of Michael Connelly's Harry Bosch series for a long time. I almost feel like I am sitting down with an old friend when a new Bosch book comes out. I was not disappointed in this one either. Well worth the credit.
