Historia
The elite crew of the pirate ship UNS Flying Dutchman had a simple mission: determining whether the Thuranin are sending another starship to Earth. Along the way, they became sidetracked by securing a future for the UNEF troops on the planet Paradise. When asked whether Earth was now safe, their ancient alien AI responded "Not so much"...now they have to deal with the consequences.

The humor and banter in this series really appeals to my military mind.

Great blend of science and humor. This would make an amazing TV series with each book being a season. These books remind me of my years on ships in the Navy, it's as if you put a camera in the corner of one of our shops on the ship and pressed record.

Historia
The Krakau came to Earth to invite humanity into a growing alliance of sentient species. However, they happened to arrive after a mutated plague wiped out half the planet, turned the rest into shambling, near-unstoppable animals, and basically destroyed human civilization. You know - your standard apocalypse. The Krakau's first impulse was to turn around and go home. Their second impulse was to try to fix us. Now, a century later, human beings might not be what they once were, but at least they're no longer trying to eat everyone. Mostly.

creative story but falls flat due to narrator
Revisado: 07-15-24
story in this book is interesting but a lot of the jokes fall flat because a narrator sounds like an AI computer. trying to read a story. hopefully follow-on books have a different narrator
