These stories are really exciting. this time the entire United States is in peril with the takedown co-conspirators Americans. There is so much action towards the end I felt I was in an episode of the keystone cops without the humor. Really well done. As usual, at the completion of the story, is the hook to the next story. Highly recommend.

A thrilling story of a family smothered in secrets
Revisado: 09-04-19
Thoroughly enjoyed this thrilling story of a family which consists of a husband and wife, Anna and Dominic, who appear to be safe and secure in their relationship, who seem to be happy with their place in life with two wonderful children, a nice home, and an excellent career for the wife while the disabled husband remains at home. But are they. There are secrets, paralyzing secrets - secrets in the past, secrets in the present, secrets in the coming future. The story begins in the present when a phone call to a tell-all talk show by Anna's "dead" boyfriend, Scott, triggers a cascade of events which grow with intensity and fear and build to an incredible climax. As the story unfolds, we are thrust into the past with Anna and Scott with events when Anna was in college and afterwards, the results of which have carried forward into her marriage, her career, and everything and everyone she touches. This very talented author weaves the tale by taking us back and forth in Anna's life, while bringing in the psychology of the impact of secrets which tend to grow and grow until they consume entire lives. This is actually Book 8 in the Inspector Tom Douglas series, and he has a significant role when people involved in the secrets start being murdered. But this book is more like The Anna Series, Book 1. And what an ending......

An exciting spy thriller well worth reading
Revisado: 02-28-19
This is a very enjoyable, fast paced thriller. Immediately we are immersed into the world of government secrets, fugitives, and spies. A Chinese national needs to defect and Caine is tasked with getting her into the West. Of course there are plenty of twists and turns, an evil Columbian Cartel sicario, Chinese secret police assassins, and Chinese collusion with the Cartel. Lots going on in a very short time, including a touch of Caine’s love life and and an old friendship. The narrator does an excellent job of presenting the story and keeps the action going all the time. I highly recommend both the Kindle version and especially the audiobook which I am partial to.

Excellent narration for a very exciting story.
Revisado: 02-26-19
Veronica Giguere did an excellent job narrating this wonderful episode in the adventures of ARKANE and its operatives, Morgan and Jake. This story begins with Morgan in Spain, still recovering mentally and physically from her tremendous ordeal in the previous book, End of Days. When ARKANE is called upon to recover the Hand of Ezekiel a relic which has been separated into five pieces scattered all around the world, and may have the power to raise up the dead, the agents are off and running. Of course there is a really powerful bad guy who is thwarting their every move as the story twists and turns from location to location. Once again we get to travel to different parts of the world, with the real facts intertwined with the ARKANE adventure. I enjoyed Jake again teaming up with Naomi Locasto, the agent who worked with him in One Day in New York. When Jake needs the immediate help of his partner, Morgan, she is recovering in Spain. Once again a fun, exciting adventure with lots of action and suspense. I highly recommend this story and the well done performance of it by Ms. Giguere.

Short but very interesting story
Revisado: 08-19-18
Really enjoyed this relatively short story regarding the investigation to find the identity of a person who committed suicide. Matter was taken up by a reporter and a retired detective who would not stop until they found this person's identity. Investigation began with very few clues found in the deceased person's personal strongbox, totally unknown to her husband and his family. By painstakingly continuing the search, clue by clue, item by item, interview by intereview, we travel with the investigators until the final end of the search. Very interesting story. Recommend it highly.
