Historia
For much of the 20th and 21st centuries, women’s sexuality was an uncharted territory in science, studied far less frequently - and far less seriously - than its male counterpart. That is, until Emily Nagoski’s Come As You Are, which used groundbreaking science and research to prove that the most important factor in creating and sustaining a sex life filled with confidence and joy is not what the parts are or how they’re organized but how you feel about them.

a book about books
Revisado: 12-17-22
there are many books about books. this is one of them. it's one of the better ones of them. the tone is heartfelt and the materiel is rich. there is a solid balance of fact, study and story. it does a great job of being humble and genuine. Although there isn't criticism of the system as a whole it doesn't fall into the trapping of finance bro life advice.

Historia
The modern audience hasn't had a chance to truly appreciate the unknowing dread that readers would have felt when reading Bram Stoker's original 1897 manuscript. Most modern productions employ campiness or sound effects to try to bring back that gothic tension, but we've tried something different. By returning to Stoker's original storytelling structure - a series of letters and journal entries voiced by Jonathan Harker, Dr. Van Helsing, and other characters - with an all-star cast of narrators, we've sought to recapture its originally intended horror and power.

a classic that delivers

often with classic you wait and wait around for the meat of the story. Not the case here. there is ample meat to be had and it's quite savory.

instant nostalgia
Revisado: 11-02-22
I'm 33 and have never heard of this book until this year. it will now be a yearly listen for me. it touches a place in the heart that I used to feel as a kid dressing up for Halloween and lites that place up like a lamp. the efficiency of wording drags you in and sweeps you away.

A Halloween delight
Revisado: 10-17-22
Brom writes a very clean well polished story. I'm a huge fan of the theological themes in this book. The horror element had me cringing just enough as to not tale away from the plot. Brom has a way of making you feel alot while as being immersed into a story. compelling characters and mutiple crescendo kept me attentive.

fairytale cottagcore mystery. this wasn't the strongest storyline of the three novels but it made up for that with some tear jerking heartfelt moments. the series has strong characters and a very powerful vibe. best listened to in fall with the leaves changing. I see this as a series I will revisit every once in awhile to be pulled away to a story that has enough fantastical pull and realism to stay in my heart.

Historia
Man’s Search for Meaning is the chilling yet inspirational story of Viktor Frankl’s struggle to hold on to hope during the unspeakable horrors of his years as a prisoner in Nazi concentration camps. Between 1942 and 1945 Frankl labored in four different camps, including Auschwitz, while his parents, brother, and pregnant wife perished. Based on his own experience and the experiences of those he treated in his practice, Frankl argues that we cannot avoid suffering, but we can choose how to cope with it, find meaning in it, and move forward with renewed purpose.

another fantastic perspective
Revisado: 08-30-22
these books are some of the most important to who I am as a person. they have truly changed my worldview. at first for the negative but eventually for the positive. this is a book I think about everyday and when conversations get deep with someone I've often refrnaced these ideas. I'm amazed it isn't more popular. this one in particular only added another perspective to the story and an insightful one at that.

I've read very few books that have felt so complet and full to the brim with the story. in enveloped me, dragged me in and fleshed out well. it twisted and felt real. the stark contrast between larger then life concepts and filled developed main characters is incredible. I truly enjoyed it and it felt like it expanded my own imagination .
