Historia
At last, for a generation that's materially ambitious yet financially clueless comes I Will Teach You To Be Rich, Ramit Sethi's 6-week personal finance program for 20-to-35-year-olds. A completely practical approach delivered with a nonjudgmental style that makes readers want to do what Sethi says, it is based around the four pillars of personal finance - banking, saving, budgeting, and investing - and the wealth-building ideas of personal entrepreneurship.

great advice
Revisado: 09-01-10
Technically you could find all of this information for free elsewhere, but Sethi very clearly, very entertainingly and very practically gives tons of advice on how best to automate your money to go to the right investment accounts, what you should look out for and what you should avoid. In a similar vein to the "Four-Hour Workweek," Sethi trains you on developing habits for looking at investments and expenses that stick with you after you've accomplished his weekly action lists.
Although I enjoyed this audio recording, I might recommend getting a printed version because there's a lot of information you'll need to reference at later times.

Thick accent
Revisado: 09-01-10
I was very interested in the story and was really looking forward to listening to this, but the narrator's accent is simply too thick to listen to for a long amount of time.
The accent isn't difficult to understand, and is perfectly fine for a short amount of time, but listening to it for hours on end is exhausting and I had to give up.
I'd recommend reading this book over listening to this audiobook recording.

Historia
The national best seller that defines a new economic class and shows how it is key to the future of our cities. The Rise of the Creative Class gives us a provocative new way to think about why we live as we do today - and where we might be headed. Weaving storytelling with masses of new and updated research, Richard Florida traces the fundamental theme that runs through a host of seemingly unrelated changes in American society: the growing role of creativity in our economy.

A Sociological Study
Revisado: 09-01-10
Florida writes a lot about the creative class by providing a decent history of its growth, how all of the variables brought it to be, and he gives some very detailed descriptions of who the creative class is and how they behave.
So what?
What are you trying to say, Rich? Is this good or bad? Should something be done about it? Is there a way a business could use the "no-collar" class for their advantage, or a way for a creative person to be better wanted in their field?
There are currently five books by Florida available on Audible all about the Creative Class; if you're interested in the sociological study of economic trends, this will be a good listen. If you're seeking to gain an opinion or some sort of relative knowledge of how you can apply this to the real world, you may need to check out his other books or a different subject (because you won't find that here at all).

Historia
Throughout history - from the bone-crushing age of antiquity to the sack-tearing modern era - there have been larger-than-life ass-kickers with a natural talent for unleashing their epic bloodlust on anyone who crossed them. They built empires, smashed armies, and ravaged civilizations for wealth, glory, and ultimate supremacy. Sometimes villains, sometimes heroes, sometimes criminally insane, they had one thing in common: They were all Badass!

A bit slow
Revisado: 07-06-10
The humor gets a little tiring after a few chapters, and if you read for ~30min at a time (ie commute to work), you get lost in each historical figure and have a difficult time remembering who's story we're hearing.
