I absolutely love these books and this universe....but who is that on the book cover? Can't be Shane...and why is he telling non English speaking spirits he doesn't understand them????

Did I miss something???? Why is Shane telling the non English speaking spirits he doesn't understand them....this is seriously irking me.

Distracting and disappointing narration

Hard to believe its the same author

This book,unlike the other 3,did not grab me at all. The characters all seem flat,there's no big antagonist,no sense of urgency,no need for a resolution. I miss Jennifer's voice,that would make it more bearable. So far the biggest peeve is i have is Marcus and Matthew in New Orleans,(spoilers follow). I may need to relisten,but i thought in tree of life was when Marcus found out Matrhews part in killing his family. Well,Matthew just dis that,and Marcus knows. If another author had picked up where Deborah left off i would understand,but....idk.ill be happy relistening to the other 3 many more times
