Vulnerable and Relatable
Revisado: 03-21-19
What I love about this audiobook is that it gives you the inside look at the pieces of other's relationships that allows space to evaluate and consider your own. It's spun out incredibly healing conversations in my own relationship. I'm a fan and will be listening to this again.

Historia
Challenging both the idea of the addict's "broken brain" and the notion of a simple "addictive personality", Unbroken Brain offers a radical and groundbreaking new perspective, arguing that addiction is a learning disorder, and shows how seeing the condition this way can untangle our current debates over treatment, prevention, and policy.

Excellent analysis of the human condition
Revisado: 01-13-17
I am still surprised at how well the author articulated her story and the overwhelming evidence for her case that current drug and addiction policies and stigmas are more harmful than good. It is also empowering to know that addiction is treatable by what we humans do best... Learning. I will be reading this again in the future.

Historia
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

Full of truth and hilarity
Revisado: 12-03-16
If you like hearing how it is, this book is for you. Who knew that giving a *uck less actually helped? I was a self help junky but after reading this, it's pretty clear there are certain things that matter in life and it's up to me to decide what they are and then act on them. I would highly recommend this book and will be reading it again in the future.

Absolute necessity for change
Revisado: 11-30-16
I've struggled with self help books in the past because they focus on our emotions and how we are feeling in the moment. This approach can often slow down or stall much needed personal progress. By learning the difference between what we can and cannot control and be flexible to accept what is but still do what needs to be done, we can accomplish our goals. I will be listening to this book at least 5 more times because there is so much wisdom to be taken in!
