Historia
FitzChivalry - royal bastard and former king’s assassin - has left his life of intrigue behind. As far as the rest of the world knows, FitzChivalry Farseer is dead and buried. Masquerading as Tom Badgerlock, Fitz is now married to his childhood sweetheart, Molly, and leading the quiet life of a country squire. Though Fitz is haunted by the disappearance of the Fool, who did so much to shape Fitz into the man he has become, such private hurts are put aside in the business of daily life, at least until the appearance of menacing, pale-skinned strangers casts a sinister shadow over Fitz’s past...and his future.

Another promising series by a great author
Revisado: 08-01-15
Where does Fool's Assassin rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
All the Robin Hobb books I've listened to so far rank among my favourite audiobooks. She is an excellent writer, and Elliot Hill is an excellent narrator.
What other book might you compare Fool's Assassin to and why?
Another story in the life of Fitz and the Fool, just as intricately woven as the rest. Fitz is a little older, and a little wiser, but still oblivious to obvious facts staring him in the face.
Which character – as performed by Elliot Hill – was your favorite?
Bee is a great addition to this world - another strong and complex female character in the making.

Historia
When fifteen-year-old Eragon finds a polished blue stone in the forest, he thinks it is the lucky discovery of a poor farm boy. But when the stone brings a dragon hatchling, Eragon soon realizes he has stumbled upon a legacy nearly as old as the Empire itself. Overnight his simple life is shattered, and, gifted with only an ancient sword, a loyal dragon, and sage advice from an old storyteller, Eragon is soon swept into a dangerous tapestry of magic, glory, and power. Now his choices could save—or destroy—the Empire.

Better for children
Revisado: 03-05-15
While some "young adult" fiction is just as enthralling one for mature readers (e.g. The Hunger Games series and The Golden Compass series), I found this book to err on the side of simplicity. The story was easy to listen to so I stayed on to the end, but there were many points where I found myself raising an eyebrow at the at the impulse actions of the main character and overly convenient plot points. I do think children and young teenagers would likely enjoy this book, but it may leave the more experienced reader wanting more substance.
The narrator was mostly fantastic, but I found the voice he chose for the dragon to be hilarious to the point of distraction. Sounds like he was doing a bad impression of Yoda... Not exactly what I'd expect a majestic dragon to sound like! I was giggling pretty much every time the dragon spoke.
In all, an average story read well (except the dragon).

An excellent follow up to Assassin's Apprentice, this book is full of action and adventure. Several times I found myself sitting in my car for several minutes at the end of my commute, waiting for a good place to pause the story, but they are hard to find! Once again, Paul Boehmer reads excellently, and does the story a great justice in the telling.

Would you consider the audio edition of Red Prophet to be better than the print version?
I have not read the print version of this book, but I enjoyed the audiobook very much.
Any additional comments?
Enjoyed having different readers for different point of view chapters. Worked really well.
