Historia
Elmer Robbins loved decorating for every holiday with his wife, Mary, by going all-out with décor at their cozy little house as well as filling his office with holiday cheer. But, when his beloved Mary passed away unexpectedly the year before, it became difficult for Elmer to summon the same sort of enthusiasm in decorating for all of the holidays without her beside him. However, due to an accident at work, Elmer’s soul is transported to a strange world, where it inhabits an even stranger object called a "Dungeon Core".

A comfy story of love past death.
Revisado: 02-23-22
Note: Receive copy for free.
A story about a person who is separated from their soul bonded by death gets a second chance to be with their love, but there’s a problem. The story was a fun, comfy ride with Mr. Brooks’s standard Core-world building and statistic components. I enjoyed Christmas Core and am excited for more Holiday Core stories in the future. The audio quality is good, and the narrator gives a good performance.

Best Book in the Series... So Far.
Revisado: 01-15-20
Dungeon World 4 continues Fred's struggle for survival and begins Fred's goal of rebalancing the relationship between the Cores and the Humans. Miles Meili brings the Supreme Core Council to life and maintains his exciting narration throughout this action-packed book. Initially, I was concerned by the larger cast, but Meili handles the many voices with style. Great book and great narration.

Historia
Sandra managed to survive the first major incursion from the nearby Orcs, thanks in part to the help a certain half-orc/half-dwarf provided. However, Kelerim left her dungeon to seek out his father, leaving her all alone with just Winxa - her dungeon fairy - as company. With the loss of her new friend comes some opportunities, at least; she now has the freedom to craft whatever she wants, and the threat of her dungeon core’s destruction from outside forces is practically absent. She even has the opportunity to upgrade her core size.

Unique series, decent narration performance
Revisado: 01-03-20
The Crafter's Defense is the second book in the Crafter's Dungeon series. With a lofty goal in mind, Sandra continues the struggle of her own Dungeon existence and safety and her want to save the nearby sentient races through crafting, of course. Louise Cooksey's performance was solid but not variable. Most of her voices are the same, although she is better in terms of her breathiness/throatiness compared to her first book's performance. I hope Cooksey will continue to grow with every book as Sandra grows and learns in future installments of the series.

Historia
The Fortress that the Station Core had constructed was completely destroyed following a particularly brutal attack by superior forces - but they had won, albeit by the skin of their teeth. Unfortunately, the force that had attacked him on his home turf was only a very small portion of those heading inevitably closer to the Kingdom’s border. But will the efforts be enough to save everyone? Only the brave actions of the Proctans - and Milton’s Combat Units, of course - will determine that, as various plans come to fruition as The Kingdom rises.

Great Core series, engaging performance
Revisado: 01-01-20
In the Kingdom Rises, the fourth book in a great series, Milton and friends must gather the citizens of the Kingdom and fight for their existence against long odds. Milton must pull on all his experience as a gamer for resource management, combat, training, etc. Miles Meili's performance is solid and engaging. Meili has a good range in his performance, so most characters can be identified by voice. I look forward to Meili's performance of the fifth book in the Station Cores series.

Historia
Clive Logan is a serial killer; or, to be more accurate, Clive Logan was a serial killer. Caught after a record-breaking streak of murders, he was executed by lethal injection by the state, while thousands of his victims' grieving family members watched. That should’ve been the end of his emotionless and unfeeling existence - but it wasn’t.

A spirited start to an interesting concept
Revisado: 11-01-19
Sarah Colton gave a good performance for the thriller story about the spirit core who kills with fear. The story is an interesting take on ghosts, gods, and cores. Excited for more of Logan Clive's deadly escapades.

Meili gives another great performance.
Revisado: 11-01-19
Miles Meili gives another great performance with Jonathan Brooks's station core series. Milton and company must prepare for the imminent attack from the Mountains, and Milton, himself, must navigate his new role as the Guild caretaker in their time of need. Milton has fully accepted his role as a Station Core and look forward to more adventures in the next book.

Historia
The Station Core known as Milton has barely survived the first concentrated attack by hostile Proctans, leaving his "dungeon" destroyed and most of his defenders dead. Not the most auspicious start. But now, with the addition of Brint and his inventor friend, Whisp, Milton now has the tools available to turn his dungeon into one that should easily defend against all comers - or at least he hopes so. However, when the Cordpower Company contract the best of the best to find out what happened to their agents, Milton’s dungeon is put to the test.

The station core series is one of my favorites. Milton faces and overcomes challenges like a champ. Miles Meili does a great job bringing the characters to life and his narration is spot-on.

Historia
Sandra had been a merchant traveling through the human lands of Muriel, though that wouldn’t have been her chosen profession. What she would’ve loved to become was a crafter, producing wondrous creations with her own two hands. Unfortunately, Sandra was born with a deformity in her hands that made them appear frozen in a claw-like pose; as a result, she couldn’t grip anything with any sort of strength or dexterity, meaning that she wasn’t able craft anything but the most simple of things that required very little in the way of hand-based manipulation.

The Crafter's Dungeon: A Unique Dungeon Core Tale
Revisado: 09-06-19
The Crafter's Dungeon is a unique take on a Dungeon Core story. The book is well-paced with nice details about the world, characters, and the mechanisms that govern the world. Sandra (MC) is a delightful protagonist who is easy to relate to with her crafting passions and care of other life in the world. Louise Cooksey gives a good performance but doesn't seem to have the range to perform the different voices for the various characters. Also, Cooksey is too breathy in her performance. The Crafter's Dungeon audiobook should be formatted so the stats are skippable similar to the Station Cores series.
