Historia
Tatooine—a harsh desert world where farmers toil in the heat of two suns while trying to protect themselves and their loved ones from the marauding Tusken Raiders. A backwater planet on the edge of civilized space. And an unlikely place to find a Jedi Master in hiding, or an orphaned infant boy on whose tiny shoulders rests the future of a galaxy.

Needed more Obi Wan
Revisado: 10-22-21
As Star Wars books go, this wasn't the most thrilling, but I enjoyed it. It fills in lots of backstory about Obi Wan's life on Tattooine; what people think of him, how he learned to live as a hermit, how close was he watching the Lars homestead. If any of that sounds interesting to you then you'll probably enjoy this. The new characters were likable and interesting enough, but I was mostly just waiting for Obi Wan to come back into the story.

Not fun
Revisado: 10-22-21
Through most of the book, Peter is not the character Peter Pan as you would hope for. There's a plot driven reason for it, but I just don't get the reasoning for making the title character so thoroughly unlikeable. Tim Curry did a good job of making him sound completely insufferable, but is that really the kind of story anyone wants to listen to? Much of the story drags on in the later half also. If you want a Peter Pan audiobook, get the original stories instead.

HOPE (tm)
Revisado: 10-22-21
I made the mistake of buying this along with the first "Certain Point of View" book at the same time. Unfortunately, this suffers from the same problems as the other one. I went into this in detail on my review of that book, but to sum up, the characters are all the same shallow dreamers. Also more weird jamming in the word 'hope' over and over again. I get it Disney, that's the Star Wars brand now--I'm not interested!
I admit that I didn't finish this one, because I quickly realized it was going to be just as bad. I did try to make it, but after what felt like the dozenth story about tauntauns or tauntaun related activities, I couldn't take any more. I listened up through the story focused on Wedge because I wanted to like it, then quit. If it gets better then the jokes on me, but I highly doubt it.

Shallow as Disney brand Star Wars can be
Revisado: 10-22-21
I'll start by saying it wasn't the worst thing ever. There were some good performances, as well as the polished production you would expect if you've listened to Star Wars audiobooks before.
The Bad.
I say all this as someone who's been reading Star Wars books since Heir to the Empire first came out. With this format, I was hoping for something along the lines of Tales From Mos Eisely Cantina, or Tales of the Bounty Hunters. What I got was something that belongs in the Little Golden Books collection. Just about every character was a shallow stargazer with big dreams and good intentions (HOPE anyone? I've got HOPE here!...HOPE). Even Imperials take a lightning quick jump to being good when they're overcome by their awe of Princess Leia (wow, she's so strong and brave, I guess I'm a Rebel now). I'm kind of happy though that I was able to hear this all in such rote repetition, because I finally understand what went wrong with Disney Star Wars. They watched the scene where Luke is gazing out over the twin suns and decided, 'Yes. This. This is the Star Wars Brand from now on. People dreaming about going into space and being the hero. And we'll wedge the word HOPE in every chance we get because those Star Wars nerds are too underdeveloped to understand complex emotions.' I don't dispute that some of that sentiment is part of Star Wars, but it's not supposed to be the motivation of every single character.
To sum up, I don't recommend. I grew very frustrated with this. I also made the mistake of buying this along with the Empire Strikes Back one at the same time, and let me just say that yes, it's the exact same problem in that one too, but with an absurd amount of attention to tauntauns.
