Historia
It’s no wonder that The Power of Now has sold over 16 million copies worldwide and has been translated into over 30 foreign languages. Much more than simple principles and platitudes, the book takes readers on an inspiring spiritual journey to find their true and deepest self and reach the ultimate in personal growth and spirituality: the discovery of truth and light. In the first chapter, Tolle introduces listeners to enlightenment and its natural enemy, the mind.

Painful writing. Was not profound. Nothing worth underlining.

Another reviewer said she'd rather chew her arm off then read this book again. I share the same sentiments. I have over 200+ books on audible and this book is my least favorite.

Historia
There is nothing more essential to our health and well-being than breathing. Yet, as a species, humans have lost the ability to breathe correctly, with grave consequences. Journalist James Nestor travels the world to figure out what went wrong and how to fix it. The answers aren’t found in pulmonology labs, as we might expect, but in the muddy digs of ancient burial sites, secret Soviet facilities, New Jersey choir schools, and the smoggy streets of São Paulo. Nestor tracks down men and women exploring the hidden science behind ancient breathing practices.

poor writing
Revisado: 01-18-24
The book should have been 20-30 pages of content. Instead, the reader has to endure story after story after story, even including dog torture.

Storytelling, with more storytelling
Revisado: 11-13-23
The author is trying to write like Malcolm Gladwell and starts each chapter with a LONG story. Then he makes a common-sense point at the end of the chapter. It is excruciating and a waste of our time as readers.

Important Points
Revisado: 10-03-23
There are some profound and important points in the book. Unfortunately they get drowned out by the "science of happiness"...data, studies, experiments, polls, what part of your brain is activated, etc. The book should be half as long and it'd be twice as good.

Cliche
Revisado: 09-09-23
Nothing new or memorable. Cliche advice, basic business principles, and common sense rewrapped with poor storytelling. Good writers don't ramble off lists of popular business bestsellers you should read. Put that in an appendix.

Historia
You may be surprised to learn that microchips are the new oil—the scarce resource on which the modern world depends. Today, military, economic, and geopolitical power are built on a foundation of computer chips. Virtually everything—from missiles to microwaves—runs on chips, including cars, smartphones, the stock market, even the electric grid. Until recently, America designed and built the fastest chips and maintained its lead as the #1 superpower, but America’s edge is in danger of slipping, undermined by players in Taiwan, Korea, and Europe taking over manufacturing.

Advice for 20 year old young men
Revisado: 05-02-23
The book was poorly written. It felt like the author read a few books, watched some videos, and recorded some notes, which became the book. This "alpha" mindset (authors words), success at all costs, 6 hour sleep, workout 6 days a week philosophy is typically that of a 20-30 year old.

Historia
We are at war. Not with a foreign government or domestic terrorists or a creepy new artificial intelligence hell-bent on taking over the world. No, it’s a war we feel deep inside our own chests: we are at war with lies. The problem isn’t so much that we tell lies but that we live them. We let them into our bodies, and they sabotage our peace.
