Historia
For Vish Puri, India’s most private detective, the news that he has won the long-coveted International Detective of the Year award, to be presented in a glitzy ceremony in London, makes this the best day of his life. But to his deep dismay, a senior bureaucrat from the Ministry of Finance gives him a secret mission he can’t refuse: to track down India’s most-wanted fugitive. Dr. Bhatt’s medicines caused the deaths of hundreds, and the billionaire fraudster—code named the Bombay Duck—fled for the United Kingdom before he could be arrested.

Another Vishpuri masterpiece with all the flavours of India and London combined. India’s Best Detective uncovers villainous crimes while also sallying forth into multicultural London with his nephew. A must listen in the wonderful Vishpuri series. The narration was also splendid.

Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Historia
Civil war looms in the Bobiverse in this brand-new, epic-length adventure by Audible number one best seller Dennis E. Taylor. More than a hundred years ago, Bender set out for the stars and was never heard from again. There has been no trace of him despite numerous searches by his clone-mates. Now Bob is determined to organize an expedition to learn Bender’s fate - whatever the cost. But nothing is ever simple in the Bobiverse. Bob’s descendants are out to the 24th generation now, and replicative drift has produced individuals who can barely be considered Bobs anymore.

Another thought proving and enthralling story. It not only continues to
explores the possibility of human and AI integration, but also looks at the many facets that exist in a single human consciousness. The tech stuff is tricky, convincing and an intellectual challenge - great listen overall.

Historia
The epic and highly anticipated conclusion to the listener-favorite series that had countless Audible listeners (and employees) hooked from the very first Bob - featuring, as always, a flawless performance from the inimitable Ray Porter. Being a sentient spaceship really should be more fun. But after spreading out through space for almost a century, Bob and his clones just can't stay out of trouble. They've created enough colonies so humanity shouldn't go extinct.

Riveting and very well developed story
Revisado: 01-29-23
The exploration of human and AI merging is extremely convincing and the plot flows seamlessly. The underlying tolerant philosophy, wry humour and self questioning add a special interest to this series of books. Definitely one of the Sci-fi greats.

Historia
This genre-bending novel is set on Earth in the wake of a second civil war...not between two factions in one nation, but two factions in one solar system: Mars and Earth. In an attempt to repair increasing tensions, the colonies of Mars send a group of young people to live on Earth to help reconcile humanity. But the group finds itself with no real home, no friends, and fractured allegiances as they struggle to find a sense of community and identity, trapped between two worlds.

Exceptional thoughts and concepts
Revisado: 05-30-20
In this crisp, but poetically expressed futuristic story, we are able to examine not only the real possibilities of human migration to other planets but also to truly query human motivation, evolution, and all the complexities of utopic and dystopic societies.
The solid science used to describe the Mars habitat allows one to engage fully in the reality of the story and appreciate the beauty and effectiveness of possible technologies, while also following the anxious unfolding of ideological and political struggles in a totally new environment. The listener is gently but inexorably drawn into the debate and encouraged to explore his or her own approach to humanity and society. It is a wonderful listen, as I am sure it is an exceptional read. The narrator captures every nuance, allowing the reader to assimilate the intriguing story while keeping the pace even and compelling.

Historia
When a young woman comes forward saying she’s the reincarnation of Riya Kaur, a wife and mother who vanished during the bloody 1984 anti-Sikh riots, Puri is dismissive. He’s busy enough dealing with an irate matrimonial client whose daughter is complaining about her groom’s thunderous snoring. Puri’s indomitable Mummy-ji, however, is adamant the client is genuine. How else could she so accurately describe under hypnosis Riya Kaur’s life and final hours?

Fantastic thriller with humour, insight & intrigue
Revisado: 02-26-20
Another Hall masterpiece which moves with the times and gives us an in-depth tour of Indian society, culture and food (yum yum) while keeping us spellbound with the twists and turns of the plot. It is very brave of Tarquin Hall to mention so clearly and specifically all the iniquities and corruption that go on in India, on a daily basis, as it must create ripples in high places.
He also reveals all the wonderful, caring and positive aspects of this vibrant and amazing country. I am just sad that I have come to the end of this particular story and must "do patience na" until Hall comes up with more Vish Pury adventures. I will undoubtedly listen to The Case of the Reincarnated Client again though, as I have to all the Vish Puri books. Great narration by Sam Dastor who lends such a nuanced, yet totally clear Indian accent that adds to the authenticity.

It's hard to imagine a good follow up to the BOBverse series and this narrative goes into a new direction, yet it has as much thought, humour, conceptual analysis and thriller type story line to keep you enthralled throughout. Great that Ray Porter was chosen once again to bring it alive.

Historia
Julian Fellowes's Belgravia is the story of a secret. A secret that unravels behind the porticoed doors of London's grandest postcode. Set in the 1840s, when the upper echelons of society began to rub shoulders with the emerging industrial nouveau riche, Belgravia is peopled by a rich cast of characters. But the story begins on the eve of the Battle of Waterloo in 1815. At the Duchess of Richmond's now legendary ball, one family's life will change forever.

Riveting insightful story
Revisado: 10-29-16
Such a joy to listen to this regency period piece that not only conveys a wealth of topical detail but also keeps one enthralled as the story unfolds. The unvarnished yet forgiving description of human nature, then and now, is Julian Fellowes' forte.
