Thanks so much. In today's world of mostly looser stories, Scott manages to keep things upbeat. I get enough ugly news, when I want an escape, I go to this author. Hope you like it as much as I did.

Not Silver Ships

With this book, Race Rivalry, we have a different approach than through the Silver Ships.
It isn't better or worse. It's a new series that develops using some basis from the previous series and gives us positive futuristic model to appreciate.
This proves that Mr. Jucha has what it takes to compete with the greats in this field.
Thank you for working to not only keep me entertained but helping me keep a positive outlook through difficult times.

Because of the Author Note
First: The Author is an excellent writer - I rate him in the upper 100 of all time
Second: His technical skill is excellent.
So - what's my problem?
After listening to these wonderful stories, with such great characters and excellent readers - I am forced to Listen To Shawn Inmon tell me all about how wonderful a person he is and how he has sacrificed so much to bring me his stories.
For his writing I respect him. For his self-righteousness spoils what otherwise would have been a great audiobook.
Please Shawn, Shut up - It's okay to include the information you include - but put it in as a separate file, so i can listen, or not, to it when i want - not after the story finishes and i am contemplating it.

In our short conversation with being human there are many experiences of all sorts. As usual, when Mr. Jucha writes a story he brings great joy into this experience.
Even though I am past the 70 mark, and supposedly have learned patients, I can’t wait for his next story.

Couldn’t put it down!

Somehow, even after so many books in this series, the stories get better and better.

Also, it took me some time to accept this narrator, but she did this book proud!

New Narrator

As our view of the story changes focus, so also we can accept that change is and always will be with us. I've listened to this series many times and only now on my second listen of SADEs. Yes! I'm disappointed in some of the differences in pronunciations of character names. But I evaluated my disappointment and have decided that "Voice" is something provided by the human mind, I can't provide it to Susanna and could not have provided it to Grover. So I moved on. Listened to the story and enjoyed it.
It is so difficult to find positive multicultural fiction that I must honor Scott Jucha for his contributions.
One other small note, within the narration by Susanna my mind formed a vision of some of Orson Scott Card's voices.
Thank You Susanna and thank you Scott.

To Bad! But you could save the series.

There are a lot of good plot ideas here. I understand that these tales will be "short stories" but I thought at least they would be congruent.
Please take the time to develop some of these into real stories. What comes across is this is a collection of ideas not used in the first 4 books. Some are really great ideas and would be great if developed into stories complimentary to the original 4.
I cannot recommend this "book" to anyone.
I will not return the book as a reminder to myself to research new material even if it from a once trusted source.

Hope is still with us. Let the good guys win.
This one is close but could be a little more positive. After all, if I wanted negative or all is lost stories, i'd be listening to current events.
