Historia
Between Agent Söze, the treacherous Internal Affairs tyrant whose taken over my precinct, and the super illegal sorcery my partner Lienna was hiding in said precinct—which is now missing—my usual routine of busting magical criminals has fallen apart in favor of hectic damage control. But that went out the window too when a respected Guild Master was found dead. Agent Söze is trying to cover it up, which is all the reason I need to make solving the murder my top priority.

Like a movie in my mind

Annette is one of the best writers. My only complaint is that it’s too short 😭 can’t WAIT for the next one 😊

Historia
In the years since Lindon left Sacred Valley, he has attained power beyond anything his family thought possible. Now he’ll have to put those powers to the test, because a Dreadgod is on its way. Lindon and his allies set out to evacuate the valley before the arrival of the Wandering Titan, but their sacred arts are weakened by an ancient curse. They’ll have to persuade the squabbling inhabitants of Sacred Valley to leave behind their home and set off into the outside world. But it has been a long time since Lindon left, and more has changed than he realized.

This is my fifth time reading the series, and it is hands-down one of my favorites. Definitely worth the lesson.

Historia
Land-ho! Clyde and co. have finally—finally—made it to the City of Darkness. Which turns out to actually exist! One small problem though. Anyone and anything that sets foot on the island immediately disappears. Ceases to exist. Poof. To complete the quest, Clyde needs to figure out how to actually enter the city and steal the crown jewels . . . without getting stuck in the town forever. It's a foreboding, dark place (obviously), where corruption is rampant. And maybe worse: the game rules Clyde's gotten so good at bending to his will? They don't seem to apply.

Not the direction I was expecting that fun
Revisado: 04-11-23
I almost didn’t read this because of some of the reviews, but I found it a fun read. I have yet to read the good Guy series so when I started this series it was a New World of discoveries, of trying to figure out what’s going on and how this world works. This book took me back to that same feeling. I spent most book trying to figure out what was going on, but it all tied in nicely at the end. Those who said the first two hours were useless, obviously did not pick up on the new characters and plots for future or for the story. Definitely worth a listen.

Ernest has made another masterpiece! The writing is intriguing from the second you open the book. There are 100’s of references in the book and although I didn’t know some of them it didn’t inhibit the story at all. In my mind I’m the mark of a good book leaves you feeling intrigued and ready to make your life or the life of people around you better and this book definitely did that for me.
Funny, exciting and written in a way were you feel like you are experiencing an event rather than reading. Clear your day. You won’t want to stop.

Great narrator
Revisado: 08-18-19
Don’t let the negative reviews on the narrator put you off. I loved that they gave Julie a voice. The normal narrator does a great job but this is a woman’s story told by a woman, it’s only appropriate that a female voice it.
