Not authentic Treasure island- more for performance than accuracy

Treasure Island is a novel perfect in every way. This is more like a radio drama and takes needless liberties from original story (ie. the origin of nickname Barbecue for Long John). Much better to listen to the actual audiobook either on Audible of free on YouTube.

20 hour Shaggy Dog Story No real end or solution to crime

Well written and well read story about Dublin police investigation of murder of 3 children but with no solution only hints it could be anyone
Total waste of 20 hours of my time.

Negligible local Japanese flavor

Just an ordinary crime story with cardboard characters. No local flavor or cultural insights as in Martin Cruz Smith’s Moscow or John Burdett’s Thailand or Qiu Xiaolong’s China. Narrator sounds like the hoarse actor in The Batman and nothing like the Thai girl or Thai villains accents should sound like. A completely bland cast of cardboard characters and nothing to allow categorization as an informative police procedural. Sorry I wasted my time.

Totally one sided Screed

This book is so totally one sided and biased against Meagan. More of a National Enquirer hatchet job than a balanced narrative. Only includes negative attacks on her especially from “unnamed
Sources”. Unless you hate Meagan or are looking for negative anti Meagan English
Press (and probably subtle racist) vitriol -Avoid this Book!

Worst book ever by convicted perjurer

Sick compendium of many scurrilous and unsubstantiated lies written by Trump dirty tricks specialist Stone in 2016. Not denying Clinton’s many problems, this hatchet book was another “dirty trick” to affect the election by a convicted perjurer and has no redeeming qualities but bought Stone a get out of jail free card from Trump. Avoid being slimed by this sick and often unsubstantiated dirty trickster’s latest dirty trick.

Total self serving BS by the new Linda Trip

In response to Grisham using “colorful language” to describe the Trump White House as a “clown car on fire running at full speed into a warehouse full of fireworks,” the host pointed out that “she knew all about the clown car and she still called ‘shotgun’ for four years.”

Read Landslide not Peril

Very little new, (except what was already revealed about General Milley) or interesting. Almost just a narrative of what we already knew, but less. Big disappointment. Read Landslide, a much better and more interesting book.

Author’s Apology

This is an more like a People Mag approach. What it really is (and it will be obvious) is a woman who was a writer for Vanity Fair who wrote a basically not unfavorable personality piece on Serial Clild Molester Jeff Epstein while only glossing over and in some cases omitting
Giving voice to his vulnerable victims. Now that the truth is out she is desperate to try and convince the reader she didn’t mean to and the fault rested with others. Some of it is interesting like how Epstein made his money so as to be interesting to Vanity Fair pieceShe says she lost her tapes of their recorded interviews so has an actor recreate what the author said he said. More on Epstein but not really enough on Maxwell.
