Not quite as furfilling as Pack darling
Revisado: 03-01-25
Pack Darling is one of my comfort listening. What I enjoyed most was how distinct the alpha's personalities were. I also really enjoyed Lilah as a character. You really want to root for her. So my expectations were really high for this book. I patiently waited for the audio version because I really really like both voice's actors performance. Kelsey Navarro Foster is honestly in my top 10!
Unfortunately, this book did not hit as high for me.
The MM relationship. I usually enjoy MM relationship, but this did not seem like a relationship to me - merely sex on paper. Dutch was just coming up as a disposable tissue. I did not feel any special kinship with the other guys that warrants the sexual side.
The guys were not as developed as I wish they had been. I just finished the book and I can barely remember the name of the characters - first because there are SOO many nickname in this book and it gets hard to track who is who after a while and secondly because none of them left an impact in my mind much.
I wish more time was invested in resolving Sol's issues. It seems like it went by way too quickly to make way for spice to happen.
This is an ok book. You probably won't regret getting it, but don't set your expectation as high as I did or you might be disappointed.
I am hoping the next book can rekindle my affection for this universe.

Interesting premise and promising sequel
Revisado: 07-11-20
When I read the synopsis the book looked interesting; a girl’s journey into a new universe of magic. Becoming a Goddess among the way? Intriguing!
The book start a bit slow and picks up closer to the end. I found the relationship development really sudden with no real reason why they are attracted to each other. Still- not a deal breaker for me. I carried on. The villain shows an interest in Jenna and I am really hopeful to see some possible love development there. The villain looks to be the most interesting character in the story so far and I am hoping to see more of him in the next installment.
I have to lower my review for the natation however. Perhaps it’s just not for me but I had a real hard time following the story. I had to restart multiple time because I was lost in the story and had no idea how I got there. The narration speed and intonation seems to change during the book and I was pondering if more than one person was reading at time. I got used to it after a while.
All in all, once the book was further along, I enjoyed it. Will probably pick up the sequel on Kindle. I am quite curious about what will happen to Jenna.

Very cute story!
Revisado: 02-18-19
This was great. Definitely more suited for older teens with reference to drug and sex. I was a bit surprised at the amount of reference to sex since this is a young adult book and they are usually tamer. Still, I am an adult and I appreciated the realism that teen and young adult do have intercourse and that is normal. Still would probably not give that book to a 12-13 years old.
This book is about being honest with your feeling and being secure with yourself. I found the dialogue to be well written and the story to be just long enough. I sometimes worry when I see 4h books that it would be too short but this was just enough. It took me a while to get into the narration because the voice is so different from the type I am used to. But I got used to it. The narration itself was fine.

Very enjoyable
Revisado: 09-28-18
I have been living into paranormal romance story lately and the tropes are becoming apparent. Fortunately, for me this book did not follow all the tropes.
Lorelei is a nixie. Her greatest joy is also her curse; her songs can kill humans. While vacationing, she find herself listening to Vance`s song in a bar. Entranced by the song, Lorelei can`t help but sing it herself later on but is overheard by Vance who almost drown. Lorelei takes it upon herself to nurse him back to health and gets a little more than she planned for.
Lorelei, while very old, is still naïve and clueless about parts of the human world. She knows the gist of it and stand on her own two leg among other things. She is confident in her abilities and she takes no bullshit from anyone. She knows what she wants and how to get it.
On the other hand, Vance is like a beat up dog. He lost what he had and his life is just going darker and darker. While I have never abused substance, I think the author did a great job in illustrating the pulls it can have on a human brain. Vance’s life has not been rosy and there is no turning back time for him.
Lorelei push Vance to the point where he tells her off. The chemistry is there and they both feel it and wants it but what if Vance can`t accept Lorelei for what she is or what if Lorelei isn’t able to deal with Vance’s past.
If you are into the explicit relationship, it`s pretty tame. There is intercourse and allusion to hard or wet places but nothing too graphics.
This was a great discovery. I am quite happy that I requested a copy of this book to review.

No one said being a princess was easy, and for Aledwen, the fae princess of spring, it's even harder. Especially with her lack of magic and the upcoming Birth of Spring. A ceremony she should be performing for the first time but can't. Luckily, she doesn't have to figure it out alone. Though at times, her shifter mates seem to be more of a hindrance than a help, and her elf's sense of duty may just override the bond between them. Was a little bit on the light side
Revisado: 08-21-18
The premise of the books looks great. A magicless princess who is expected to do magic for an upcoming ceremony meets a dashing shifter who shows her the world.
I would have preferred if the story had stopped at him and maybe Cyprus. Brandon and Cyprus come out more like Cyprus and his twin accessory to double team Aledwen. Brandon has almost no personality. Ambassador Fane seems to have been an afterthought and not really planned, he barely gets any time with Aledwen.
I would have been ok with the little character development if this was merely the first book with those characters but that is not the case. I understand this is a 5h book but the plot is a lot more concerned with the sub-plot with Aledwen mother then the love story.
The narrator did a fine job.

Just the sight of Dustin Nikoli spiked fear in my heart. The memories of the things that he had put me through in high school made me want to run in the other direction. I was the dirt on the bottom of his shoes, my only purpose someone for him to torment. No one else saw it. To his peers, he was a man's man. To all of the girls unaffected by his cruelty, a lust object. He was the hottest *sshole you could ever meet. Pretty face. Amazing body. Ugly on the inside.

Teenage crush get crushed
Revisado: 07-26-18
Brenna is obsessed with High school friend Bobby. He is the perfect guy in every way and oh so perfect for her. Brenna waited for him to notice her after he broke up with his long-distance girlfriend. After enrolling in the same college as Bobby, her rose-tinted glass shatter as Bobby grows distance and acquire a taste for hookups. Heartbroken, Brenna attacks her liver with alcohol. It also doesn't help that the one person she was glad to get away from is also attending the same college. Her high school bully Dustin. He put her through hell back then, will he do it again now that Brenna is alone and heartbroken.
Brenna can come off as unlikeable at first since her pinning is a little much but as the story progress she kinds of grew on me. I can understand her inner dilemma and questioning. The two guys are ok. It's more about Brenna growing as a person than about the two guys. While the title says bad boy romance, I would add former to that line. Dustin is not really mean during the story. He's prickly but not mean.
The story itself is pretty linear, nothing much unexpected. It doesn't make it less enjoyable. All in all a good listen!
The narrator was good, I would listen to more from her.

There’s no way a handsome billionaire would pay money for me. I’m mousey and look like I stepped right out of the nerd brigade. Not sure what I expected
Revisado: 03-13-18
The title says it all; Virginsforsale.com
This story is about Athena, an average girl who decides to sell herself to help her mother and get taken care of. Then come Gavin, an older man who takes no bullshit from anyone and takes what he wants. Also possessive and jealous.
I was intrigued by the idea of the buying of someone submission but I must say I expected a bit more from Gavin. I wish there would have been a little more development and reasoning behind the character. He is simply a workaholic who doesn't want to deal with the burden of a relationship.
This book definitely had some nice moment but as it is very short I didn't get to see as much development as I usually like from romance book. It's still a nice change of pace and I enjoyed the narrator's performance. She really sounded like the character she was voicing. I would definitely take a listen if she voiced other audiobooks

Loved the characters chemistry!
Revisado: 03-13-18
I have been dabbling in Romance novel quite a lot recently to a point where they kind of all blends in together. Mind Wave was a breeze of fresh air into the often repetitive supernatural genre. It was great to know all along that David could read her mind and she had no idea! It was funny at some points.
I was afraid the book was going toward the chosen one trope that I am glad it did not go there.
If you want sex this book might not be for you. It's quite tame yet it doesn't suffer one bit. I would actually recommend you give it a try for something more about relationship and trust.

A nice follow up!
Revisado: 02-12-18
I was a little disappointed by the first entry in this series since it didn't have time to set the story very much. With this second entry, we get more information about dragons shifters.
I am not sure I liked Andrea but at least she felt a bit more realistic than Sophie did.
All in all, I am still left with not enough. I would have loved the books to be a little longer.
I will definitely go for the next entries if they make them in audiobook.
Connor Brown is fine as a narrator. I like his voices but he goes a little fast at times. Easily fixed by putting the book at .75 speed.

One of the best from Kate L. Mary
Revisado: 01-05-18
This is my third book from Kate L. Mary and honestly the best one so far.
Kate is really great at making realistic characters and Kara is really believable! She isn't perfect(who is really) and makes a lot of mistakes during this book.
When Kara gets into a car accident she gets hits by more than just a tree, she also gets hit by the fact that the man she always thought was her biological father is not. Angry with her mother for hiding the truth all these years, she storms out her house and walks into a bar where she meets Derek. Meets is not the correct term as they both went to the same High School but Kara barely remembers him. A romance blossom. I won't spoil it here because it's better to experience it.
After her perfect family crumbles and her mother refused to say who her biological dad is, Kara and Derek, go on a journey to find out who her biological dad is. There are lots of twists and turn and Kara and Derek's relationship develop as she learns the truth that she might have been better not knowing.
