A controlling partner, through fear and intimidation, will seek to ensure their victim is subdued, to the point of accepting any and all abuse that's fired their way.

She put into words what is so hard to articulate

For anyone who has been in a very emotionally/psychologically abusive relationship, you know how hard it is to put into words what has happened. She outlines most of the major things that happens in a way that seems as though she was in my relationship. But I realize they are all the same and it’s almost textbook what they all do. Thank you.
