Historia
The ever after, the demonic realm that parallels our own, is shrinking, and if it disappears, so does all magic. It’s up to witch-turned-daywalking-demon Rachel Morgan to fix the ever-after before the fragile balance between magic users and humans fails. Of course, there’s also the small fact that she caused the ley line to rip in the first place, and her life is forfeit unless she can fix it.

Best book of the series.
Revisado: 02-02-13
If you could sum up Ever After in three words, what would they be?
Gripping, imaginative and satisfying.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Rachel Morgan is always the star in these books. I love the way she never gives up, no matter how bad everything looks. She's never weak, and yet she never sways from her own moral code.
Which character – as performed by Marguerite Gavin – was your favorite?
Marguerite Gavin always makes me adore Al, blending perfectly his evil and untrustworthiness with his need to be accepted and wanted. I can both love and hate him as the scene requires.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Rachel's refusal to allow Ivy and Jenks to be spellbound instead of telling them the truth.
Any additional comments?
I've really enjoyed all the Rachel Morgan books, but I really loved this one. I felt that Rachel really came into her own in this book.

Historia
LAPD cop Scott James is not doing so well, not since a shocking nighttime assault by unidentified men killed his partner, Stephanie, nearly killed him, and left him enraged, ashamed, and ready to explode. He is unfit for duty - until he meets his new partner. Maggie is not doing so well, either. The German shepherd survived three tours in Iraq and Afghanistan sniffing explosives before she lost her handler to an IED and sniper attack, and her PTSD is as bad as Scott’s. They are each other’s last chance.

Loved this story!
Revisado: 02-02-13
If you could sum up Suspect in three words, what would they be?
Heartbreaking, uplifting, and satisfying.
What did you like best about this story?
The melding of two wounded heroes--man and dog--as they battled together to overcome their nightmares.
Have you listened to any of MacLeod Andrews’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I hadn't listened to any books performed by MacLeod Andrews until this one, but I'm now going to look for more of his books.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
There were many moments in this book that moved me, and I can't pick out just one.
Any additional comments?
I would love to see Scott James and Maggie become a series.

I love Partsky's novels, and Susan Ericksen brings them to life. Kudos to both women on this novel.

Thumbs Down
Revisado: 09-03-10
I have loved the Queen Betsy series from the beginning, but the last two books, one of which is this one, leads me to believe that Mary Janice Davidson is tired of the series--or just can't come up with new ideas for my favorite vampire queen. I probably won't be listening to any more of the Queen Betsy books after being disappointed twice in a row.

Great Series!
Revisado: 09-03-10
This is one of the few series that just keeps getting better with each book. I discovered the series with Stray and ended up listening to all five books in one week--and I can't wait for the next book. Rachel Vincent is definitely one of my favorite authors now.
