if a book about internet freedom describes 2013 as the future, it's woefully out of date.
I'm sure it accomplished what it set out to do at time of publication; it just feels like it doesn't make any sense to listen to a book from the perspective of the oughts when there have been so many public and extraordinary developments in the last few years. looking forward to reading the author's more recent stuff

An excellent introduction for someone with no background in economics. Yet, so one-sided it's not even funny. Feels like only half the story.

Would you listen to The Emperor of All Maladies again? Why?
This book is intense, rich, and passionate. I cried. Everyone I know who read it cried. But despite the terribly depressing moments, it's very engaging. I'd read it again, mostly to catch the science more deeply, but the book's emotion has never left my soul.
Would you recommend The Emperor of All Maladies to your friends? Why or why not?
If you've had anyone close to you afflicted with cancer, you need to read this book.
