Historia
Two kids meet in a hospital gaming room in 1987. One is visiting her sister, the other is recovering from a car crash. The days and months are long there. Their love of video games becomes a shared world—of joy, escape and fierce competition. But all too soon that time is over, fades from view. When the pair spot each other eight years later in a crowded train station, they are catapulted back to that moment. The spark is immediate, and together they get to work on what they love—making games.

Special

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this, but there was something so special about this story. I loved the characters and their messy, human ways and will miss this story now it’s ended.

Superb

I loved this book. It is written and narrated so perfectly. Will Smith tells his story honestly, openly, and with a rawness that is beautiful. If I was a fan before, this has cemented it. I would honestly recommend this book to anyone who has at any point enjoyed WS’s music or acting.

Historia
Emma loathes her period. Really, she does. But there’s something she loathes even more: not being able to talk about it. Despite women having had periods since the dawn of time, we’ve totally clammed up on anything to do with menstruation. Why, oh why, would we rather say ‘Auntie Flo’ than ‘period’? Why, in the 21st century, are periods still seen as icky? Why are we still so ignorant about such a fundamental bodily process?

Historia
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

Historia
In January 2019, culture writer Anne Helen Petersen set the internet on fire with her viral BuzzFeed essay diagnosing “millennial burnout” - a chronic state of stress and exhaustion that’s become a “base temperature” for young people today. Now, she continues this generation-defining conversation in a brand-new format, interviewing millennials around the country about their own deeply personal experiences with burnout, and the culture that creates it.

Disappointed

I enjoyed the introduction, but not the rest of it. Didn't finish it. Felt that it needed more substance and useful information rather than listening to other's stories of burnout.

Bit preachy
Revisado: 02-19-20
My husband and I found this a bit preachy. I felt that the chapter titles alone as a list would have sufficed.
