Tedious, Juvenile, fragmented, and inconsistent.

The first book was OK, the second book tolerable, but this one I could no finish.
The story is slow moving with an inconsistent and scattered plot line.
Many sections are just space/time fillers with no real input the story line.
Characters are supposed to be advance students in a highly skilled and dangerous carrier path yet they have constant petty bickering and childish fights within their team.
Then there is this baby dragon like creature that comes and goes as convent to the story.
The only bright spot is that the reader is good.

This episode marks a huge shift for Hank as he ventures into unknown regions of the cosmos and is confronted with the harsh truths of his reality.

No real plot line and pointless ending.
It seems they are just trying to extend the series to make money but had no concept for a story line. I really like most of the previous Hank stories but this one left me just hollow. Not sure what happened or why nor where or if there is a future for the series.
But as before the reader is great.

The baby episode is often the signal of the death of many good series. This is no exception. As one of the smartest and best monster hunters the main does soooo many dumb things. Just not consistent with the nature of the rest of the series.
